annual pass renewal

Although I've had an annual pass a few times previously I've never renewed one before ...

2 questions - I read somewhere if you renew you get 18 months for the price of 12, any idea if that's still correct?

secondly, how far in advance can you renew? ours expire just before Christmas

Yes, on renewal its normal to get the 18 months for the price of 12 - you can't renew until at the earliest, 4 weeks before your current AP expiry date. When I last renewed, you could also get the 18 months for the price of 12 if you were renewing up to 4 weeks after the AP expiry date (I did this) but I don't know if thats still the case.
