Annual pass renewal question

Good evening! We are going to have unneeded 1 day tickets from an upcoming trip unless an ap discount comes out.

We have Dvc AP's that expire after this trip. Can we apply the one day tics towards the cost of the renewal AP? Or is that just the case if non-renewal ap purchase?

I'm not DVC but we have always used an unused ticket to renew our AP.
If we do free dining we save the mandatory 2 day ticket and use it when renewing for example.
Once at Guest Relations at MK a CM told me I couldn't but I asked for a supervisor and they said of course we could. Don't take no for an answer, lol.

We had a HARD time doing it at Epcot last year. It took close to 90 min to get it done, and then I was told it was an exception and to be grateful. We took my dh's to MK guest relations the next day (he wasn't with us the first time), and it only took a few minutes. I think it depends on where you are and who is processing. We've always had great experiences at MK over Epcot and HS.

Sounds like experiences vary! Thanks for posting. To avoid the hassle I might just hold onto them. One I can use when DS turns three and needs his own AP.
