Annual Pass renewal going up Dec. 1

Just got back from weeklong trip to Disney and UO to find a "Time to renew your AP!" email from Universal. After clicking through, I found that the non-FL renewal for a preferred AP had skyrocketed to $308 (!?!). That strikes me as completely crazy no matter how much blathering is expended on Potter and water parks and whatever. It looks like the theme parks are transitioning to a super-premium branding image where very few regular people will be able to visit. I guess they know what they're doing from a business standpoint, but as a soon-to-be-former annual pass holder, I regret it.

UO AP still a lot cheaper than wdw

I let my Disney ap go some years ago as the increase was ridiculous

For me, the renewal for my UO preferred pass is still a bargain for me

If I am in the parks at least 20 days,
That is a big savings for admission

Food and merch discounts at city walk- parks- hotels are an additional bonus

I usually do the smsm code for room discounts for longer stays
Have been getting 35% off due to the time period booked in the fall

Having the ap makes it very affordable for me to do UO

Hi all: has anyone heard anything about when annual pass increases may hit this year or how much higher they'll be?

Was hoping to renew my Feb passes now to avoid an increase, but Uni rep I called told me I could only renew up to 30 days in advance. :sad1: She said that could very likely be after an increase already occurred, since it was around Dec last year that the prices changed.

True, you can renew at 30 days out at the most

My renewal period is mid April but I renew in March and cross my fingers its only one increase in a year

Many years back I had an additional 6 months added to my preferred ap
And this ended up renewing at a cheaper rate

Rumors will come out soon about ap rates if there will be an increase
And when
Whatever it will be, I live with it
I enjoy staying on site and do many park dates

I figure I still come out ahead by

With whathaving the ap

Prices still go up but o do a few separate trips a year and it's still a bargain for me

By the time I hit in my 70's might be a different story
I try to get in 3 trips in each year to justify the cost of the ap

Hoping I can countinue to go
To
The darkside for many years more

With the new land and attractions for believer, many costs will increase
