We are going to get Premium Annual Passes for the first time for our trip this August. I understand that I have to buy a voucher and then "activate" it....But I'm wondering about a couple of things:
1. What form does the actual annual pass take? Is it like the UPH's and like a credit card?
2. How do you use the annual pass for fast passes?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

The AP is kind of a flimsy cardboard credit card. You use it in the FP machines just like any other ticket media.

Also, you don't have to purchase a voucher first. You may instead buy an AP or PAP at any park. We get ours at guest relations but I think you can get them at the regular ticket windows too. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

If you purchase a voucher and then lose it you're out of luck and a lot of money. :(

If you wait and buy a real pass then lose it all you have to do is show a photo ID to guest relations. They'll deactivate the old one and issue you a replacement.

There isn't any financial benifit to purchasing the voucher ahead of time.

The only resorts where you can buy an AP from is the Swan and Dolphin - but it's not possible at any of the Disney owned hotels.

If you purchase your AP at the Swan or Dolphin, do you get the AP voucher that you have to then redeem at a ticket counter?

Nope, you get the actual tickets at the Swan/Dolphin :)

I'm planning to buy my activated voucher at Disney's welcome center in Ocala! ;)
