Annual pass questions

So from another post I think I understand that I can upgrade my current park hopper tickets to an annual pass when I get to Disney in September. It would be too late to apply discounts to any of my special events tickets for the September trip right? Since my package includes free dining would that mess up my free dining option on the September trip. My reason for upgrading to annual passes would be to schedule a second trip with our granddaughter sometime over the next year. Can I take advantage of Bounce Back offers as an annual pass holder? Would we need to buy our granddaughter an annual pass or just park tickets? Really trying to understand how this works and what is the best way to use annual passes? I am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place.

I can only answer a portion of your questions...

For all your discount questions, all I can say is that you typically can only use discounts for that specific time frame. Meaning if there is certain deals, or discounts for AP now, or FL now, then they may not exist a few months from now.

For your free dining question, I do not understand what you're asking, as it sounds like you imply you have free dining, but asking if that conflicts with free dining option at a Sept trip. Would that just mean regardless you'd have free dining? I might not understand that one, however, if you're meaning you have free dining option, but asking would you still have it if you upgrade to AP, that would be a question someone else would have to answer (as that's very particular), or perhaps call Disney yourself to get an answer straight from the source.

Also, I wouldn't recommend buying an AP for your granddaughter unless it's a more inexpensive option compared to buying for all the days she wishes to go, as I do not know how many days you're planning for her to go. However, I doubt it and is more than likely more inexpensive to just buy the tickets. To save money, I recommend getting one park a day tickets, as they're more inexpensive than park hopper tickets.
