Annual Pass Questions

Hello! We are California residents and purchased annual passes with the monthly payment option, but won't be visiting until June 2018. Online it says our pass expires on 02/2019, but I called to confirm and they said it will expire after our first visit which would be June 2019. I asked two different CMs, but I still wanted to ask here because CMs sometimes give out inaccurate information. I'm hoping the CM is right, because if they are wrong, I am missing out on 4 months of my pass. Any insight on this? Thank you!

We also plan on upgrading to premier when we visit to activate in June, for our Disney World trip later in the year and still being able to keep our monthly payments after we pay the difference.

Your expiration is based upon date of first use. After you upgrade to the premier you will need to call the WDW internet help line to add your pass to your MDE account to book FPs. When you add the pass in yourself all it does is add the physical card to your list of usable ticket media not your AP information to show you can book FPs.

Whew! Thank you for confirming that for me, I feel SO much better! Also, thank you for the tip about calling the WDW internet help line, I had no idea! You saved me from a headache on FP day.

My issue is I want to upgrade my Disneyland Signature annual pass which expires in September and I want to get a Premier Annual pass for July. I have no problem adding another year onto my annual pass, but the CM's at Disneyland are clueless. Anyone have any ideas?

If you upgrade before September it will only be good until September. You may be better off buying a new pass or buying a WDW pass and upgrading that to premier after you activate it in Florida in July.

Does anyone know how long it takes to purchase an AP in the park? Is this something I should schedule a chuck of time for or is it more of 20 minutes or less ordeal? Thanks!

It depends how many people are in line at the ticket booths. It can be a significant wait. If there are no lines I think about 20 minutes.

OP, I think you just have to ACTIVATE the AP by February 2019.
