So, since we are going to do at least one more trip this year I think we should buy an AP. My ? is...
#1. The Premium is what we need to buy right? We need the one with no black out dates.
#2. What benefits do we get with it? I know it said discounts at restaurants....is there a list of which ones?
#3. How far in advance do I need to get them? I was planning on purchasing our tickets the beginning of June...is that soon enough?
#4. Do you do an eticket like when you are purchasing tickets? And how do we get the pass with our picture on it?
#5. Is there anything else I need to know?

Thanks ahead of time guys!:goodvibes

1. It depends on when you are going. The Deluxe may work as well.
2. Go to Disneyland.com and look up the APs to see the discounts available. It's pretty much every restaurant (TS and CS) in the park and most of DTD.
3. You can purchase at any time. Prices are likely to go up early August again, so I'd do it before then.
4. There is an AP center in each park where they'll take your picture and give you your actual AP.

So, let me ask this...if I print out my e-ticket and take it to the park...do I have to go directly to the AP center or can I do it anytime that day? I am asking because I know my kids won't want to waste those first few mins at the AP center...or is it best to do it right away?

You can go straight to the turnstiles and they will exchange your AP voucher for a one-day parkhopper ticket. You can use that ticket to go to the parks and get Fastpasses. You just have to get your AP at some point during that day.

Thanks so much. Was exactly what I was hoping for.

Exchange your AP voucher ticket inside the gates of California Adventure at the Greetings store. The line to get AP's and photo taken is much shorter there than in Disneyland.

You can spread the cost of your AP's out by not buying the Premium on your fist visit unless you really have to. If you arrive on a Deluxe pass black out day they will still let you into the parks if you purchase the Deluxe on that day. You can then upgrade to a Premium the next time you are there on a black out day.

The Premium does include free parking although parking can be added onto the Deluxe. About $100 to add parking or $130 to upgrade from Deluxe to Premium with parking. If not going on a black out day you can just have one party members pass upgraded to Premium for parking and park food and merchandise discounts.

I came to the board today, searching for this very information! Today is the last day of our vacation - and I think we're going to upgrade to APs! :cheer2:
