Do annual passes run 360 days from the date of purchase and keep the same
benefits as the day they were purchased? I am curious because of all the changes in passes lately and I have never purchased an annual pass before.
Thanks.

365-6 days, depending on Leap Year...and yes.

If you buy the pass on site, it is valid for admission for 366 days starting from the date of purchase. If you bought one today, it would expire when the parks close on April 1, 2006 (so 366 days, 367 if it is leap year, LOL).

If you buy the pass online, by telephone or at one of the Disney Stores, you get a voucher. You must exchange the voucher for the actual pass onvce you arrive on site. The actual pass is then good for admission for 366 days starting from the date of purchase.

The discount and perks associated with an AP or PAP are subject to change. Some perks/discounts have a limited duration. Most are good during the calendar year, January 1 - December 31. Usually there is a new list of perks/discounts every January - some stay the same, some change, some are discontinued.

Best wishes -

Carol & Jim thank you very much for the quick reply!

If I understand the brochure I received from DVC an annual pass is only $195 for members. Seems like a great deal considering a 7 day regular admission with no park hopping aappears to be around $200 now.

IIRC, AP are $395 and the discount is $100 ==> $295. PAP are $515, discount is $125 (?) ==> $390.

Confirmation or correction? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Dr.T, that is correct. To the OP, if you purchase an AP voucher, it doesn't get activated until you activate on your next trip.

Allears's has a great web page that will tell you all you need to know including the DVC discount prices.

I have a question regarding the AP... Can you use an AP that will expire during your stay for an AP room rate? Example: check in 2/15/06 and AP will expire the end of 2/16/06? This would give us two hotel discounts on two trips with one AP if it works! Very cool.

Not sure where you got $195. Member prices including tax:

Pass Type DVC Member 10+ DVC Member 3-9
Annual Pass $314.18 $267.32
Annual Pass Renewal $298.20 $253.47
Premium Annual Pass $415.35 $353.58
Premium Annual Pass Renewal $394.05 $335.48

Walter,
I was told my member services that I could purchase an annual pass voucher and get my DVC $100 discout and wait to have it activated to summer 2006 if I chose to. I still can't decide what to do about our family. We are only spending a few days in WDW this summer and not sure about 2006. The price sounds good, but not sure we will use it enough.

I am wondering the same thing for my small trip. I am planning on a week in June and haven't had a chance to crunch the numbers for a comparison.
It will be me, DW, DS-6 and DD-infant. I am definitely leaning towards at least one AP though since the DDE seems like a great deal and we plan on enjoying the dining at Epcot most nights. Where can I find a list of all participating restaraunts for the DDE anyway? I also hope to plan another trip in fall and if we can swing that, I think we definitely would come out ahead with the AP's.
