Annual Pass Question

I haven't done too much homework yet on this but am I wrong or is this the best choice for us. I bought a 10 day no exp the first time I went to Disney (Or when I bought DVC) which has now been used up. We are going again in March and am thinking Annual Pass is best. I see it is cheaper than 10 day no exp...and if we make sure we go again prior to exp (which we will) then it is a no brainer. Am I accurate?

Also how do you but them (with dvc disc) and are they applied to your room key like regular tickets? Thanks!!!

Based on what you wrote, I don't see any reason an AP wouldn't be a better deal for you.

It's a separate pass though - it can't be put on your KTTW card.

You also can get other discounts with the AP - merchandise, some dining, and what I think is best - the ability to purchase the Tables in Wonderland discount dining card, which gives you 20% off at lots of TS restaurants (most of them in the parks & resorts), including alcohol.

You buy the AP at Guest Relations at the parks or DTD - just show your DVC membership card & ID and pay.

That looks interesting. How do I add that?

Do you mean Tables in Wonderland? It's just a card you can purchase at Guest Relations when you are getting your AP (or afterwards - you have to have an active AP to buy it).

Check allears.net or wdwinfo.com - I'm sure either or both of them probably have a list of all the places that take TiW. It's 20% off and does include an 18% autogratuity (not relevant to me since we normally tip that much anyway). But if you buy it as an AP holder for $75, and you use it for $375 in dining, you will have broken even and then anything after that is savings. It's good for a little over a year most of the time, depending on when in the month you buy it.

Thanks for this. I think it makes sense as well. I don't need to buy for everyone in my party correct (Tables in Wonderland). Just one then that is good for 20% off.

It's good for up to 10 people at a meal.

I am pass holder and DVC member. I have a cash trip coming up in Oct at all stars resort. Right now I have the room and dining. My pass will be up for renewal a few days after this trip. I am coming back in Dec. So here is what I thought may save me some money. If I change reservation in Oct to a package with a 2 day park ticket I will get dining free and then I can use my annual pass I have and save the park ticket to upgrade my annual pass in Dec. Has anyone done this before?

That's a workable plan BUT if you have an AP discounted room rate, you can't keep that and get free dining as well. So you would have to pick one or the other.

But you can use your ticket from the FD package to upgrade to an AP renewal on your next trip (or any future trip).
