Annual Pass Question--need experts advice

Hello All Annual Passholder experts,

I have a trip in November booked with a 40% off resort pincode. It includes 6 days of hopper tickets and the dining plan.

It looks like I will probably be making two short trips before and after this November trip. It makes the most sense for me to buy an annual pass rather than pay for 2-3 days of tickets 2-3 times.

So. . . if I buy an annual pass, what happens to our November trip? Since it is a package the tickets are included? My husband won't have an annual pass and will need tickets. I will have an annual pass and won't need tickets? It will just be the two of us.

Anyone know what will happen in this situation?

Thanks so much for the help!!:worship:

We went last summer with the 4/3 deal (pay for 4 nights & tickets, get 3 nights & tickets free.) My mom and sister didn't have tickets, my DH & I had APs.

My mom and sister got their tickets with the package, and my DH and I each had to buy a 1 day base ticket to be included as part of the package. It's separate from your room key since you'll use your AP to get into the parks, so you can save it and use it at a later date (after your AP expires.)

Hope that helped and made sense :)

Reduce your Nov. package down to just a one day ticket, that way you can still keep the dining plan. buy an AP when you go on your next trip, and use it in Nov. also. Save the one day ticket for another visit to upgrade.

This happened to me last year. After I came back from the short trip where I bought the AP, I called Disney to see what my options were. It turned out that the package I had was better option than the AP discounts at the time, considering I needed tickets for DH and two kids.

They suggested downgrading all the tickets in my package to one day base tickets. Then when you check in, you can upgrade all the other passes to the approriate number of days you need for the non-AP holders.

As the OP mentioned, you have to keep your room key safe and not mistakenly use it at the gate, since you will be using your AP. I believe that I read on these boards that you can then use that one day base toward the renewal of your AP.
