hi everyone--
i was just about to buy park hoppers and found out this week im going to disney again in February.. ( i was already going in January)..
My grandmother was going to give us park hoppers for Christmas, but now shes going to give me that money towards an annual pass.
She sent me an email wit hthe information she found and i wanted to see if there is anywhere else to look for other deals...
she said she found the regular ap is 379 and just included the 4 parks..
the premium is 499 and includes the parks, pleasure island, dtd, blizzard beach, typhoon lagoon..

is that about right? Thanks so much

Yep, that sounds right.

Unless you are planning on visiting DTD and the water parks more than 3 times, you're better off to just get the regular AP. Tickets to those parts of WDW are not terribly expensive.

There is also a seasonal pass. This is a annual pass with some "black out" dates. (mid summer, Christmas, Easter mainly the most popular times to go) Which is when I'd rater not go because it's so crowded.
We have the seasonal passes and love it! I also recieve a military discount as well as a Florida resident discount. My cost is @ $150.00 per adult and $119.00 per child. We buy them every year and make at least two trips.
In addition, Florida residents recieve discounts with these passes. Like 20% on total purchases at Mouse gear. :bounce:
Awww. I just noticed you are in NJ. Oh well, maybe you can look into the seasonal passes.

Good luck.

I thought the seasonal pass was only available to FL residents? Am I wrong?

Unless something has changed in the week or so that I was looking up stuff about APs (had to renew mine) you are right. Need proof of FL residency to get one.

I agree that a regular AP is probably good unless you go more than 3x to the other places per year... otherwise the cost difference is not worth it.

Yea, sorry if I got everyone's hopes up.:( It is for Fl. residents.;)

Here's a great link to AP benefits on Deb Wills' site.

Annual Pass Benefits

Try to figure out how often you'll go to the water parks, Pleasure Island, and Disney Quest, 'cause that's the difference between the 2 passes.

Entry to them individually is (including tax):
PI $21.84
BB/TL/DQ $33.02 adult, $26.63 kid

At all of the above, a regular annual pass will get you $4 off adult tickets and $3 off kid tickets, so you still won't pay full price.

The difference in PAP and AP is $127.80 after you include tax.($531.44 (PAP) - $403.64 (AP) ). So like Nette said, unless you're going to visit the water parks, DQ, or PI more than 4 times, it's cheaper to do the regular AP. If you want to do lots of water parks/DQ/PI, then go for the PAP. That is the only difference.

BOTH get you numerous discounts: resort, restaurant, merchandise, recreations, tours, etc. And you get FREE parking with both, too, if you're driving to the parks but not staying on property. :)

As for discounts on AP's, the only ones available are for FL residents and through the military.

Hope that helps!

How much are the military AP's and could my son (who is active military) get them for the whole family?

If you are going to be in WDW more than 8 days in a 365 day period, then the AP is the best value.

Whether or not you get a premium AP depends on how often you go to a waterpark or DD.

DH & I have regular APs. If we do decide to go to a waterpark or PI, then we just pay as we go.

First, thank your son for serving our Country!:bounce:

Second, yes he should be able to get everyone a AP. I bought 12 4 day PH's with my discount, last week. Most base exchanges have travel agents.

Thank you for that, it means alot to us!

Do you know how much the Ap's are?

I called the ITT office down here and the price for AP is $300.00 BUT, she said it's for Fl. residents only.?. The agent said to check with his ticket agent on base to find out the price where he is.

I hope that helps.

Yes, he can.

Annual Pass--Military
Adult $371
Child $311

Premium Annual Pass--Military
Adult $486
Child $409

His base may or may not have them...some only carry park-hoppers. If he's going with you, you can always stop in at Shades of Green, the Armed Forces Rec Center on WDW (military hotel) and buy them at their ticket office. We do it every time!
The sell both FL resident and non-FL resident passes. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with :)

According to SOG, military doesn't get charged tax.

My Mom just got herself the Military AP for $371...

thanks guys..i think ill go for the regular one...ill just pay if i go to the other places---ill have to check and see if AAA is anything different in price..thanks so much :)

Keep in mind that sometimes Pleasure Island has some admission specials. For example, we went in April and I had a regular AP. I used it to get the 20% admission to PI. PI also had a promotion that for $5 more, you could get an extra 5 days of PI admission. It was a little too cold for the water parks, but we love PI, so this was a great deal for us. I think it ended up costing me about $20 for 5 nights of PI! :hyper:

Whether you buy them on base or at SOG, you won't pay tax.
It's considered federal property, so no (state) sales tax is collected. :teeth:
Small benefit, but a nice one! ::yes::

okay heres another question :) I definitely am getting the regular annual pass....
now im not going until Jan...so does the year start when i go?
