Annual Pass prices

And also.....if I order AP's today, how long until I have tickets/vouchers in hand (roughly)? September vacation planned, is it too late for on-line?

If you need them for the September vacation, do the "Will Call" and then you can pick them up at WDW.

If you need the vouchers, when I put in that I was arriving September 1st, it still gave me the option to have them mailed.

My APs run out in October and we are planning on renewing. Should I go ahead and renew today? Will they still need to be renewed Oct. 2007? Or does paying for them now change my date?
TIA
My AP runs out in April 2007. I just renewed today- they will send me the renewal voucher. My new A/P expiration date will be April 2008. I believe I take the voucher with me on my trip next April to get the new A/P.

It is $290 compared to a new pass (today) of $315 with the DVC discount.

The renewal price with tax is $308.85. It will be $323.76 tomorrow per allears.net.

I just renewed my AP's, which expire 12/20/06, and the website let me do it, and have the vouchers sent to my house. I used the dvcmember.com website. It took awhile, because I kept getting a message to check back later. I kept trying, and I finally got thru! :goodvibes $308 per ticket + $3 mailing charge. I am a happy camper!

Hi Leeann.
I would rather purchase a new AP rather than renewing, can that be done on the Members Site?

Just renewed my AP (expires 11/06) by going through the DVC member site and then clicking through to the ticket purchase site form there. Price was indeed $308.85 tax included for renewal.

I am writing this because at first I was confused when seeing the FAQ on this it says
"For Passholder convenience, Passes can be renewed 30 days before the expiration date located on the pass."

I took this to mean that you had to be within the 30 day window to purchase. I thought they were trying to basically push through the price increase - but no, perhaps it means up to 30 days in advance as there is a timetable to do the "paperwork" for an online purchase?

I actually still don't quite understand that line - but I was able to renew and I am more than 30 days away from my expiration date. :cool1:

There is an answer to this posted over on the Mouscellaneous board under a similar thread--here's the link (I hope it works for you)

"DVC AP renewal Question"
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1186226&page=2&pp=15

The 30 day window refers to the wiggle room you have to order within 30 days AFTER your pass expires, according to BCV23.

I only see a place to buy new APs. What do I click on for renewal?

The place to click for renewal is just below the "buy AP's" on the Members site. On the right side of the screen, facing it.

Yes, that is what I have always thought and in fact we have used that 30 grace period after expiring on one occasion for our son's AP.

But I have never read that particular line before and am as confused as anyone else. :confused3

Where's Goldenoldie when we need her? :surfweb:

BTW, for the price difference I would just wait for November renewals. Most of ours expire in Oct and one in Jan and I'm waiting.

Help! I just saw this thread and we are going in November 2006.

So we are two adults, two children under 10. How many days do we need to want to park hop so that an annual pass is worth it? If we go for 6-7 days once a year, but might go again within the 365 day window, is it better to just buy tickets via mousesavers discounts or something like that? It looks like regular annual passes are $315 adults and $277 kids with our DVC membership discount? Do you know if the DVC member price will increase tomorrow too?

You need to go at least 10 days to get your money's worth out of an AP.

With this price increase our discount goes from $100.00 down to $79.00

Only you can decide which is best for you.

I am so glad I popped into the DisBoards tonight. I hadn't even heard of this increase. Our trip isn't until december but I went ahead and ordered our AP's tonight. Saved alot of $$. Thanks again to you wonderful folks here. You sure keep on top of things for all of us.

Whew!! Thought I was too late but quickly logged on to DVC's website and was able to purchase at the "old" price. Talk about getting in under the wire!! :shamrock:

Just so everyone knows, the ticket system is operating on PDT. It's almost 10 o'clock out there, get cracking everyone this is your last chance! :hourglass

I just ordered my AP renewal too thru the DVC member website and it still shows the old price. I'm glad I decided to check these boards before I went to bed. Thanks everyone for the info.

I didn't others have :confused3 I've read it here on the boards.

Plus with an AP you don't feel like you HAVE to spend the whole day there!

No. The same $100 & $125 still apply. I just double checked it through the member site.

Gate AP $434 / DVC AP $334
Gate PAP $559 / DVC PAP $434
