Annual Pass Perks?

I am considering getting an annual pass. I hear about discounts for family members and such but can't find anything like examples or actual proof of these discounts for non-AP members of the family. Can someone help me out and tell me, aside from not having to pay for tickets, what are the perks for being an annual pass holder please.

If it's any help, I and my child would be the only ones getting the annual pass. Hubs would not, but I'd love it if there were perks for him since I would be an AP.

Thanks in advance!!

The perks we have used the most have been the resort reservation discounts, the merchandise discounts, and the restaurant discounts. But primarily the AP discount for resorts have been the best value. It is nice to have Memory Maker with the annual pass, too. :)

You would be able to book resort rooms with a discount (your DH does not need a pass), and purchase merchandise and food, but you would have to be the one to pay. Don't send DH to the gift shop! You have to show your photo I.d. Also, you can purchase TIW as an AP holder. I don't use the AP dining discount much, as TIW is usually better.

The last couple of years or so it seems much harder than it used to be to find availability for the AP resort discounts, unless your travel days are very flexible.

At $20 a visit - parking is a big perk of you go often. Merchandise and room help also

I got an ap for the first time on my trip earlier this month. This trip we stayed on site, but when we go in Sept we will not. Parking for 7 days at $20/day saves me $140. Merch. discounts as stated above, require the AP holder to be present with pass and photo id. A few things were bought without that, when I sent my teen to go pick up a few things, wish I had thought about it at the time. Photopass is a big bonus for us, not sure I'd have paid for it outright this past trip, but we sure do enjoy the photos, and we'll get them for next trip too.

We are a family of 5. On our last trip we bought four 10-day non-expiring tickets and used 4 of the days. My youngest DD was only 2 at the time, but now she is 4 and needs tickets for our upcoming trip in July. We also have another trip planned in November of this year, so I am considering getting an AP for her, as it will provide better savings after accounting for parking and photos.

My question is that if a child is the only AP holder in our group, then are we still eligible to use the discounts on merchants, restaurants and rooms? Clearly she will not be the one paying for meals and merchandise, and she will not be able to show a photo ID when checking in to a hotel reservation that was booked with an AP discount. I couldn't find any information on rules/restrictions when the only AP holder in the group is a child.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
