I know about the Salute military discount three day park hopper tickets, but I am wondering if there is a military discount for an annual pass. Has anyone recently bought an annual pass with a military discount?

Unfortunately there is no discount on annual passes for military. You could get a regular ticket from orbitz or way.com and hope for some price bridging pixie dust. That's about it :(

Actually there is about a $19 discount if you purchase your pass from your local base ITT office. (Information Tickets and Travel). Each military base should have one...if not than a nearby base would. I live at Edwards AFB just north of Anaheim about 2 hrs. Anyone military should have base access to use this offer at our ITT.

If you want to buy a Premium AP, you'll get a better deal if you go to Target and use a Red Card to buy Disney Gift Cards. Then just buy your AP at the gate.

$700 in Disney Gift Cards = $665 total for a Premium Pass.

We are interested in getting a deluxe annual pass. That is interesting that Edwards has them for $500. I checked with our MWR ticket office and they have them for $519, no discount (but no tax). I wonder why the difference.

I hadn't thought of the Target idea, but wouldn't paying tax at the gate negate the savings since we can get them at the MWR office with no tax?

Entertainment tickets in the state of California are not taxed.

The price you see is the price you pay.

Thank you for the info that entertainment tickets in California are not taxed. The list of ticket prices that I got from our MWR office says that the price for a deluxe annual pass from them is $519, and that from the gate it is $519 plus tax, so evidently they don't know they aren't taxed. It sounds like the Target idea is the way to go.

The reason for the "+tax" wording is because some of the tickets listed are "all inclusive" tickets. For example, Medieval Times ticket includes admission AND food and drink, thus making that ticket taxable. Also, some of the tickets listed are not considered entertainment tickets but transportation tickets.
