Hi all!

Happy New Year.

Just a quick question about Annual Passes.

I am buying my annual pass online for my trip in April. I will be having the pass sent to my home.

I will not be activating it until April.

How do I get Magic Bands for my pass? Is this something I can order now, have it personalized and ready for my trip in a few months?

Or do I not get Magic Bands until I arrive? And can they still be personalized or do I get the generic gray ones?

And lastly, any chance the 2014 benefits for Premium Passholder will include the 20% discount again? Has anyone seen the benefits list for this year?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Pretty sure WDW discontinued the 20% discount and instead is giving 10% discount for premium APs (and Premier APs too)

An FYI,
I never should have left them link my AP to my band. Because, when I bought two days for the free dining package, it ate those days first. Even though the CM told me the two days were on my KTTW card, not the band he was wrong. This was a disaster. I wanted to wait an use the two day towards the upgrade of AP....it was a struggle, and tons of my vacation time to have it fixed. It should have been easy, I have. No idea why they used the two days up, or took so much time to provide me with a card and two days back.

You should be able to customize the bands already and you'll get them no matter what.

I'm in the exact same boat (already have the vouchers, but won't be activating until April) and I've called in 3-4 times asking and verifying the answer to this question. I'm told you can go under "link existing reservation and tickets" then under "Annual Passholder" and use your confirmation number there. CMs told me it would not activate my AP but it would allow me to make FP+ selections when the time comes. They did mention to remember which AP was linked to which account.

Hope that helps!

The magicbands go along with your onsite stay. If you have admission linked to your mydisneyexperience page then it will be linked to the MB. If you have your onsite stay linked, keep checking your account. It will tell you when you can customize and when they will be shipped (assuming you are in the states).

it is important to have WDW prioritize your park admissions, when you have more than one assigned to your name.

I became aware if this with MNSSHP. But it came up again for my next trip. My son has 5 days left on a 10 day hopper no-expire. And also has an AP voucher, as do I. I have to let them know which to use first for my son, the AP or those 5 leftover days on the 10 day. (I have to figure out when to start the AP, depending on when I have 2 trips planned within one year).

My situation is unusual, but all guests with APs, booking during free dining (and taking 2 day passes in order to qualify) need to make sure each person in their party has their priority order set correctly. Unfortunately, this cannot be done on MDE. You can do it over the phone, I did that. I would imagine it is difficult to reverse after the "wrong" park admission was already used.

I would guess that many people do not understand this though, and have the same issue.

The easiest way to link the green AP vouchers is to scan them into My Disney Experience AP with your smart phone.

we have our annual pass... and staying at Disney's fort Wilderness will they issue us magic bands or do we have to be staying in a hotel on property? Do they mail them to the house or do we get them there??
