Annual Pass Increase

Since there was a $225 price increase for the annual passes today, would it be better for me to upgrade old PH tickets rather than pay $1,119? DH and I both have 1 day left on PH tickets from 2012.

I have never updated tickets before, so I have a few questions:
Would they gives us credit toward the AP for today's price for a 1 day ticket?
Trip isn't until December 2019. Does this meas that I would not be able to do FP at 60 day?
Prices increased in October, 2018. Do they usually increase around this time too?

Thanks for your help.

I don't believe you can upgrade any ticket more than 14 days after first use. Sorry :(

Enjoy your vacation!

Can't help with the "1 day left" scenario. I believe previous response is correct; however, you should call/chat with WDW. 60 (90 for club level) days for FPP comes from onsite reservations so your ticket type shouldn't matter. You can verify that over chat or call. Prices increase when Disney can get away with it. It's the first time since early 1990's I've seen an increase "effective immediately." It is. We have 2 ap's that expire on the 23rd of June. Fortunately, for those silver passes, the monthly increase is only $2.87; yesterday, it would have been $2.87 less. At least mine rolled over in early May.

You could still buy no expiry park hoppers in 2012. Is that what you have OP?

If so, I would not use it for an upgrade. I would save it for a day trip, rather than having to pay today's prices, but that's just me. I would take it to GS and get it converted to todays ticket media if it is not already in that format.

Don't know if you are a Sam's Club member or if it is still possible, but yesterday Sam's club still had AP vouchers for sale at the old price. That's a bigger savings than the one day ticket applied would be.

Right, but even assuming it's a no-expiration ticket, it can only be upgraded within 14 days of first use. WDW will not give a credit for 1 day left on an old no-expiration ticket. That ticket can continue to be used as-is for the remaining entitlements, but not upgraded.

Thanks for the advice. I decided to get APs from Sam's, so I will save the tickets for a day trip.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I've heard that Sam's has a great price on the Universal tickets (B2daysG3free). However, I'm not a current Sam's member, so can't see what this great price is. Could someone with a membership post this price so I can see if it's worth it to purchase a membership just to take advantage of these prices?

I saw this posted on fb and reading through the replies they said the same deal is on the Universal site so no need to get from Sams.

Tickets at Work is also offering APs at basically the old price as well ...even after tax and their "hidden" fees.

I also bought my AP at Sams yesterday for the old price and I just wanted to add that there is a deal where you can get a Sams membership for $45 and get a $20 gc toward your purchase if anyone is joining for the AP. Makes the membership essentially $25.

I don't have a Sam's club nor can I find the deal for the $20 CG. Could someone please tell me the Sam's club price on the Florida resident weekday pass?
