:goodvibes Maybe a silly question. I'm considering annual passes and am trying to plan out our next few trips to WDW and how many days we could theoretically use the passes. Can anyone tell me how long the passes are good for? I realize they are good for one year, but...if we first use our pass on April 27, 2006 would the last use day for that pass be April 27, 2007, or April 26, 2007? :confused3

(I'm even confusing myself with this question) :rotfl:

Any clarification is much appreciated!! pooh:

They are good for 365 days from the first day they are used, so they would be good until 4/26/2007

We have Fl Resident Seasonal Passes which we activated on Jan. 20, 2006. On the back of the passes, it says "Good through January 20, 2007."

Annual Passes pretty much play by the same rules (without the blackout dates), So I'd say 366 days.

They are good through the same day one year later. I started using an AP on Oct. 17, 2004, and my last day using it was Oct. 17, 2005.

Excellent! Thanks for the info!!

As all of you planners out there know, it is never too early to start planning!! ::MickeyMo

We activated our APs on 1/27/06 and on the back it says good through 1/27/07.

The only glitch we found is that we bought our passes on 3/9 but did not use them to enter a park until the tenth.

We are taking a quick trip in March to use them one last time and thought we had until the tenth but we have just discovered that buying the pass is considered activating it! So ours expire on the ninth.

If we had known that we would have waited until the next morning to buy them. We thought we were being smart and saving time by getting them the night before we wanted to use them.

I remember verifying this with a CM when I bought my first annual pass, and I was trying to squeeze every possible day out of it. It's good thru the end of the day one year from the date you bought it. I bought mine 11/17/2003, so it was good through 11/17/2004. And since 2004 was a leap year, I actually had it for 367 days!

You can buy the voucher whenever you want and activate it when you get there. (We bought our vouchers in December but didn't activate them until June.)

Yup, a year is exactly one year from the first day you use your pass. We did Season passes for Disneyland Ca. last year so this year we are doing passes for DW...it's amazing how much money you save by doing that, especially for long trips. We will be there for 11 days.

Don't ya just wish they would do the annual passes by the events you are there to see....like being able to go to F&W each year. ;) We bought ours for "Jersey Week" last year, but the passes will expire before "jersey week" happens in 2006.

Just a thought....

Just to keep everyone straight with the terminology which can sometimes be confusing, AP's are not affected at all by when you first use your pass. At one time, first use was indeed the criteria for activating them but that hasn't been the case since the late 90's.

Your one year clock starts the moment you exchange your voucher at WDW or purchase a new AP there without having had a voucher whether or not you actually enter a park that day.

They are good for use through the end of the day the same date as "exchanged" a year from now. In other words, if you exchange your voucher on May 3 of this year, the pass is good through the end of May 3 next year. Number of days depends on leap year or not.

I say plan carefully because this year, our kids Spring break is a week earlier than last year... we bought APs last year and we are going to be able to use the same passes that we used last year for this whole vacation! :cool1:

It's 366 days. If you either (a) buy an AP or (b) exchange an AP voucher, on say, 3/1/06, it will be good through 3/2/07. That's 366 days.

On the other hand, if you do it on 3/1/07, it will be good through 3/1/08, since that's 366 days. (2/29/08 is leap year day.)

We buy an AP every other year, then vacation a week or two earlier the next year. Two vacations off one AP is a great deal!

Tim, who loves this AP method! :teeth:
