Hi all,

We are thinking about going 2 times to disney this year. My sister in law and a friend are going in May and we may tag along.

Just wondering if it would be cheaper in the long run to get annual pass for us and get annual pass room rates?

Going in Nov for 6 nights 7 days. If we go in May it would be for 6 or 7 days too.
I'm guessing it is a no brainer to just get the annual passes.
Also what do annual passes cost? Have a child 4 years old to.

One thing also making it hard to choose is the dinning plan. We got in on the free dinning disney offered last year and liked it a lot.

Thanks,

For us, AP's are the only way to go. With multiple trips a year usually 10+ days it ended up being cheaper.

This is what i came up for your family:
all prices before tax and include advance purchase discount:

2 adults 7 day MYW Hopper- $392
1 child 7 day MYW HOpper - $165
total $557 x 2 trips for 7 days each= $1114

AP passes (4 parks/hopper, no extras)
2 adults $830
1 child $365
total $1195
difference of $81.

You also might want to consider just getting AP's for adults only.
You child's tickets for 7 days 2 times a year is cheaper than the AP at $330. So if you get AP's for you and DH, regular tix for child = $1160

We easily saved over $400 on our last trip for POFQ and saving $150 this short trip at ASMo. We will be having a 3rd 10+ day trip in Oct and I would say savings will be at least $400 again. So estimates are we will save $950 in hotel alone this year, more than paying for both of our AP's. To me getting virtually 'free' ap's or admission was well worth giving up free dining and pluses. We also use our merchandise discount at DTD to get our souveniers at 10% off, and we also got the Disney Dining Experience card for $50 to get 20% off all Table Service in the World. We easily saved our $50 back in one trip and now everything else we save is just gravy!

Hope this Helps

Ok, thanks that helps out. So could almost save even more with the room discounts to AP holders? Or atleast make up the diffence in AP to MYW tickets.
