Annual Pass help, pretty please :)

Hey.
I need to buy two annual passes for two of my kid for our next Disney holiday in August.

I was going to go for the cheaper option, but the black out date is 30th August, in the middle of our stay

Does anyone know where the cheapest place is to get DREAM annual pass at the moment?

Or would it be cheaper to buy Fantasy and pay on gate for the black out date, if that makes sense?

Hi Natty

I guess you already have AP's yourself? Probably the best discount you will get is if you sponsor them for their ap's so they can get the 10% discount. If only 1 day of your trip is a blackout day, you could buy fantasy passes and then make use of the bring a friend action for AP holders - 1 day 2 parks for 29 euro's so in total working out a bit cheaper then buying a Dream pass which is currently 209 euro.
( just to check you are staying offsite as if you are onsite then blackout days do not apply)

Yes, I have an annual pass and it runs out the week we go, so I was going to renew it then.

We will be staying in the Davy Crockett Ranch.

Hubby doesnt have an AP, and our other kids are twins who are 4, so they will be entitled to the under 7's go free.

We were going to book for Hotel Cheyenne, but its booked up and only available is the Ranch.

So even if I bought them the Fantasy passes, if we are staying in a Disneyland Paris hotel, then the black out doesnt apply???

How does that work?

You get an easy pass when staying onsite (just a paper thing) which shows you are staying onsite and so are entitled to emh etc, but it also works to give you access to the parks even on a blackout day with your AP - if you read the ap terms and conditions it is buried in there somewhere and is standard practice

Make sure you put your dates when you are going on the AP sponsorship thread too (and look at the v.active thread over on the TA forum too) as if you can get 3 stamps for sponsoring 3 people you can renew your AP for free

Quite a few people do that on this board - they even order the cheapest pass by post and have a real cheap onsite stay!
