Annual Pass Help Needed!

Hi, I'm considering buying a P.A.P and my question is this: can I buy just one pass and make use of the discounts for the whole party? i.e. restaurants etc. As there are 7 of us travelling it would be way too expensive to by 7 passes.

Yes.
As long as one person has an AP...that person can book a room at the AP discount (I'm not entirely sure how many rooms you can get with that rate though.)

we have used our AP to get a discount at lunch/dinner/whatever...only DH whipped out his AP to get the discount...everyone at the table didn't need to show one.

Yes, We used it to get the room, which Portofino never asked to see the card. We ate at Hardrock and Margaritaville, Hardrock gave a 10% discount and Margritaville gave a 15%. Got discount on MIB picture. and my wife used my card to get discounts at two shops in Universal. Enjoy.

Hhmmm, didn't know you could use it for ride-photo discounts.... Would you believe we actually found a neat way around this? We are not the type to buy "ride photos" only because they really never turn out good for our family and they aren't cheap (not expensive, but not cheap either!) Anyway, after riding ToT in June, our picture showed DH and myself "consoling/checking on" our DS seated between us. Now, we were both looking at him and asking him if he was okay, so, not a picture I would buy. Well, DH happend to get the digital camera out and take a picture of our photo on the monitor and....the darn thing turned out! We had it printed and put it in our album for giggles. He ended up taking a picture of the monitor w/ our RnR photo on it too--which, I didn't really like, and wouldn't have paid money for, but it was nice to have. To wrap it up, the ride photo has to be really good for me to buy, and I am rather picky..so, this works for us!

Just an FYI, when I've seen people do it, Universal has tried to stop people from using cameras.

I also have the same question but as we are not staying onsite can someone please help with the following

There are 3 of us in our party but would only by 1 PAP and the normal one for the other two.

If we only get the one PAP does that include the free parking, discount in theme park restaruants and also in the store?

Sounds silly but would like to know as I need to order my tickets.

Hi, like you were not staying onsite either. From what I can gather tho' the discounts apply to the whole party with one pass. I was thinking of just getting the one pass to get all the discounts, restaurants, parking, shops etc and buying normal passes for the other 6 in the party. From the responses here I'm certain that's possible and would save me a tidy sum.

One person in your party can have the AP for free parking and other discounts in the park for their party.

Does this pass have to be in the car drivers' name, as DH drives but I'm in charge of the spending!
