Annual Pass has wrong expiration date

Just got an email reminding me that my AP expires 11/20, and telling me to renew it.

Problem is my AP isn't supposed to expire until Jan 20! I just went on MDE, and sure enough, everyone in my family has the same wrong expiration date.

I purchased the APs on Jan 25th, by upgrading tickets that were first used on Jan 20th. I had a trainee CM, and she charged me the wrong price (she didn't bridge the tix), but I was able to get that corrected by another CM. I wonder if the trainee is the one who also put in the wrong expiration date? (Don't know if this is something that is done manually).

I'm sure that Disney can look and see when the AP was purchased, so not overly concerned about EVENTUALLY getting it corrected. My immediate concern is that until this is fixed, I don't think we will be able to make FP+ reservations for our January trip since the system will think we don't have valid park tix. I'd also prefer not to spend a lot of time our first day at guest services trying to get it straightened out.

Does anyone know who to call to get this fixed? They are DVC APs if that makes a difference?

Thanks so much!!!

I don't know how to fix it but this almost happened to me. I used a ticket purchased in 2012 but not used to upgrade to an annual pass. At first the CM said the ticket was too old (not true) then said the computer said the AP would expire in 2013 (1 year after that ticket was purchased). He was able to correct it but it took a while and 2 other CMs helping.

A few weeks ago my annual pass renewal date randomly changed from mid July to the beginning of October and showed as expired. I only realized it because I got an email saying my fast passes for an upcoming trip were going to be cancelled if I did not add a valid ticket to my account! I was able to call and they fixed it over the phone. It took about 30 minutes. The cast member I spoke with told me she could see the history of my pass but didn't know why it had changed. It took so long because she needed someone else with higher privileges to make the change back to the original date.

My renewal date was also incorrectly changed when I upgraded to the new platinum plus pass when photo downloads were offered. It was moved about 6 months earlier. I noticed that one while I was still in the park and they were able to fix it in about 20 minutes.

Happened to us to a certain extent - upgraded a 10 day PH to AP on 1/27/15 - expiration date was correct in MDE but I got several emails and postcards telling me I needed to renew in May. I solved it by e-mailing Disney and asking them to check into it (I had my receipt so I knew the correct date was 1/27). I am a bit concerned since your MDE account is incorrect so I suggest you call to get things rolling.

As a matter of fact... Yes.

Same thing happened to us with our DVC annual passes last year. We called and they fixed it no problem.

Just as a reminder to all with annual passes - once you get your pass or renew your pass, make sure, before you leave the window, that you verify the expiration date. We once renewed and mine was fine and I left the window to the side while the husband's pass was exchanged. He turned around and I asked him to check the expiration date. His was different from mine. Since it was a renewal, it should have been the original date but his changed to that day's date. So, he turned around and the Cast Member was kind of shocked that since my husband got two "free weeks" he wanted to get it changed but changed it to what it should have been.
