Hi all, anyone know the going rate for the discount on adults and children from an AP for DVC members?

Also, I heard that immediate family members can share in this benefit - if this is true, do they need to be at WDW with the DVC member or can they pick up and use passes on their own?

Thx,
mg

I thought I recall the policy as saying that they have to be living at the same address as the DVC member. Can anyone confirm this?

The only immediate family members who can receive the discounted AP's are those that reside in your home. They will be asked to show id that shows they live with you. Love my brothers - but I don't want to live with them :dance3:

You must provide proof that you live at the same address as the DVC owner. If this weren't the case, I would be able to buy a DVC AP for my mother-in-law who always comes with us on vacation but who does not live with us. I love my mother-in-law but, like gritzel4 said a couple of minutes before I posted this, I don't want to live with her.

As mentioned they will need to see the member's blue ID card. They have to enter the information into the database before they can print out the AP. I've done this several times and they have always asked for the membership card of the member. Yes, as others have said, they must live at the same address in order to qualify for the discount. Since my daughter is a member on our contract, we actually have two addresses that are allowed the discount. So she and her family also get the AP discount under her own address.

I ran into this issue about a year ago. I live at home with my parents who are DVC members and decided to get an AP. Things got a little sketchy being that my parents were not going to be on the trip with me when I had to turn in my vouchers. We were able to speak with MS and make additional notes on file so that when I went to pick up my pass I was not asked to provide my families membership card (which does not have my name on it), I was only asked to provide my drivers license to prove that my address matched the one on file. It worked out well even though I was a nervous wreck walking up to the window thinking that something would not be correct and I'd be unable to get my pass. Worked out well and I'm thinking about doing the same thing this time around!
