@grannyminnie you are correct. You can not customize the AP magicband until after activation of the AP. Just use the one that you are receiving for your resort stay during your upcoming trip. You will not receive anything in the mail. In the past, printed physical vouchers were sent in the mail for you to turn in to guest services at activation. This is no longer the case. You should have received a confirmation email when you made the online purchase. You should also be able to see your annual pass listed in your
MDE account. Look on the home page under the tab "Tickets and Memory Maker".
