My wife and I are heading to WDW this Nov, plus we have a second visit early 2020. I just want to make certain that I can purchase the annual passes now so to secure Fast Passes 60 days out, without triggering the starting date of the passes until I enter a theme park in early Nov. I think I have this concept correct but want to be sure.

You sure can! I purchased an Annual Pass last December & made FP for our August trip in June no problem. Then, during our August trip, we made FP for our October trip (again no trouble there). Have fun planning your trips!

Thanks a million :)

If you purchase now, you're not really purchasing the actual AP - you're buying a voucher. The voucher can be linked to your MDE account and will allow you to make FP. Once you get to WDW, you have to stop by either Guest Relations or any ticket booth at any park (including the water parks) to Activate your AP. Be sure they give you your AP card as you'll need that for any discounts.

It's a simple process, but does take a few minutes.

Make sure you’ve scrubbed your math - after the last AP price increase, only in a few circumstances does an AP make more sense over 2 trips, and even in most of those circumstances, it only makes sense to get 1 AP (since the parking, souvenir, hotel, and and memory maker discounts apply to their whole party). 2 10 day park hoppers from UT in mid season are still $150 less than an AP. 2 4 day trips used to be a pretty clear rule even last year, but it’s a lot more complicated now.

I'm planning three trips and the math does work. All comments were very helpful

I’m planning on getting an AP for myself but not my DD.
If I book a tour do I get the discount on both off us or just mine? What about other events?
Thanks!
