Hi - just looking for where I might be able to go. I renewed our AP's in April, and my wife found out she had breast cancer soon thereafter. Her treatment, etc. will likely preclude family travel for the next 6 months pretty much making the time period unusable for us since we found out and until she is likely to be in a place to travel. Is there any place to write / phone or otherwise contact to see if they would consider an exception to extend or delay the period of the AP?

Thanks in advance :)

No matter what, schedule a big vacation when treatment is over. If you've used your pass, it's unlikely that Disney will refund or extend your pass. It's worth a try.

I had the BC 6-month chemo in 2005. That was 17 years ago! We had a memorable Disney Vacay about a month after treatment ended. Make reservations now and start planning.

It's always sad when I hear a woman has been diagnosed with BC. The journey to recovery is difficult but treatment has improved since I was diagnosed. Take care. ::MinnieMo

All you can do is ask for an exception. I agree with trying the VIPassholder line.

I wish you good luck with that -- fingers crossed for some pixie dust -- but especially best wishes through her treatment and recovery.

Did you activate and use the renewed pass, or did you renew prior to expiration in anticipation of future trips?

Thanks for leaving a reply. I hope you're doing a whole lot better now, and wish you many WDW vacations :)

As an FYI I was able to get a refund. I wanted to extend it, but they did not offer me that option... Sadly I no longer have an AP to renew but it's the right move for us now.

Sorry about that, hope all goes well for your wife!
