Hi everyone! We are proud new owners at AKV as of today!!:cool1: I have a question for all you pro's. Can you buy your AP at the Disney Store and still receive the DVC discount, or to you have to buy directly through Disney? Thanks!:goodvibes

Even though the Disney Stores are back under the Disney umbrella, I think you must by a DVC discounted AP directly, either through the DVC Member website, Member Services or in person at WDW.

You can buy it through the DVC website online. We do it everytime and it's easy and quick. We just print the willcall certificate and turn it in at guest relations at the park.

We were told at our Store they could not do any discounts for DVC for anything. Our AP had to be purchased thru Disney.

Piggy back on this post!

I am going in december will get our AP's for that trip and use it next year. Are the prices likely to go up before then? Am I best visa-ing the pass now? (if only I had cash :-) ) What month have they gone up before?

thanks

They went up in early August last year, so I would buy now.

If you "visa" the pass now, won't you pay more in interest than any increase in pass prices would cost you? Careful with hidden costs.

I recently ordered ours with a possible august increase in mind, but wouldn't borrow to do so.

No one knows when prices may increase. There has been no rhyme or reason. Some years have seen no increases, some years have seen 2 increases.

Are the other theme parks increasing prices?

It's been awhile since we bought APs - I didn't realize you could print the vouchers online now. That's great! :thumbsup2 I'm about to push the button on a set of APs before the next 'rumored' price increase... goodbye $2000! I'd be surprised if there wasn't some type of increase by next month. It doesn't matter in my case, we need the new APs anyway, so I may as well get them now...
