Hello: DVC members get a $100 discount on annual passes right? To get the discount must I buy them before I go to WDW or can I get them at the international gateway? What's the cost? Is it cheaper to renew? Thanks

We bought our discounted AP's in DTD in '05. So, you can get them on site without first getting a voucher. Be sure you all have your DVC members card.

As far as renewal, we did that on line, just before the most recent price increase, so I know that there is a discount if you renew within a month of the expiration date, but I don't exactly know how much it is. We were going back within a day of the renewal date, so it was worth it for us.

We had the same question. We spoke to MS and they said it could take three weeks to receive the passes if you did it over the phone. Since we are going December 26th, they suggested we purchase at Will Call when we get down there. Since we are staying at BCV, we will probably buy them at the International Gateway entrance.

It only takes a few minutes to purchase new DVC member APs at International Gateway. We did that last time we got our APs. You must have your Driver's License and your blue member card. Every adult purchasing the tickets must have an ID that shows the same address as the member. You don't need an ID for kids who don't have a driver's license.

If you renew, the new AP starts when the old one ends. So if you go less frequently like us (well, only two or three times a year), we plan our purchase and our trips to coincide with as many trips as possible - we try to get three on an AP. But if we get two good long ones, that'll work, too.
