Annual pass benefits?

Hey guys and gals,

We are doing the Premium Annual Pass this year for the first time thanks to the DVC discount they offered. I know we get admission to the parks and with the premium, we get the WPM option also.

I also know we get free parking.

What other perks do you get as annual passholders? Is there a constant room or restaurant discount, or does it vary by time and location?

I have tried to google it, but haven't come up with much. It looks like there may be an AP website on disney but we haven't activated ours yet, so I don't figure I can get in.

We are hoping to make enough trips in the next 12 months to make the AP a good investment for us. I certainly want to make sure we take full advantage of any discount we can get.

You do get hotel discounts and 10% merchandise discounts. Discount on purchasing a TIW card. A FEW restaurants give a discount just on the AP, not very many.

Definitely look into Tables in Wonderland. It will give you a 20% discount at most restaurants. If the restaurant doesn't offer Tables in Wonderland, odds are, it offers an AP discount. Tokyo Dining offers an AP discount. I believe Hacienda does, as well.

One thing we found VERY helpful this year was getting in to MK on New Years Eve. There are often discounts for AP for resorts, you can ask when you call Disney Travel even if you haven't activated it. You can book the discount, and just show your AP when you check in.

Specially Ticketed Events at the Magic Kingdom Park - Watch for discounts on "Day Of" admission price for the following special ticket events at the Magic Kingdom Park:

-- Night of Joy
-- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
-- Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Discount is only available on selected nights, based on a limited availability, and does not apply to "Advance Sales" admission price for these special ticket events. The Passholder may purchase up to a total of four discount tickets. The discount is available on select nights and is based on availability. Proof of valid Passholder I.D. required at time of pickup.


It says a discount does not apply to "Advance Sales".... does this mean you can only get the discount if you are buying the day of the event? It is looking to me like DVC ownership may have better discounts than AP holders.

No you can order them in advance through the AP Holder website.

The discount for the party tickets is off the regular price, not the advance price. You can't double discount. I don't know the amount for this year but they used to advertise $10 off. Ended up being about $4 off the advance price.
