Annual Pass and ticket discounts

I am thinking of getting an annual pass to get a discount on our hotel stay. I know you can also use the pass to get discounts on tickets. Do you have to buy the tickets on site or is there a way to buy them prior to arrival? Is the discount worth it, or is it a better deal to get the tickets through undercover tourist?

It is generally cheaper to get the tickets through Undercover Tourist, even with the AP discount.

You can calculate your discount by taking the online price at www.universalorlando.com and then adding $20 for the multiday tickets. Then take off the AP discount (10% if you have a power pass and 15% if you have a preferred pass) and then add on the tax which is 6.5%.

Then compare this to the UT price.
