I'm trying to add my Annual Pass certificate to my account on Disney's website (at least I think I can) but I keep getting errors. You can use the certificate to add the AP to your WDW account, right?

Did you pay for an exchange voucher to be sent, or are you trying to use the will call confirmation number? I believe that you should be able to access the passholder website with the codes off an exchange voucher (plastic card) but not the will call confirmation number.

That is correct.

It's an exchange voucher, not the will call. It has a green face with instructions to trade at any of the four theme parks for the actual pass.

Best I can tell, exchange certificates are either Type 2 or 3 for non FL residents.

I'm using type 3 and putting in all the information it requests...not sure what's up. I put an email into WDW and just need to wait for them.

I tried type 2 as well to no effect. Still getting "Unexpected error occurred. Please try again."

Well, got it fixed. Talked with WDW ticketing and they had me select option 1 and I was entering in something wrong for another of the items.

I have the same problem, Donald, keep getting an error. What was your other item that was an issue? I think it is the last 4 digits that is the issue but not sure what to put in.

Well, I had to ignore not only the "Tr:" but the numbers after it. I then had 2 numbers after that set, and had to prepend 4 zeroes before it -- for example, if the 2 numbers were 32, you would have to type in 000032.

Glad I found this thread. I really wanted to register my exchange certificate and the instructions in the accompanying letter were nonsense. Your instructions need to be in sticky. I bought an out of state WDW annual pass - used pass type 3 with the prepended zeros - worked great. Had tried dozens of variations, emailed WDW and they said they would respond in 15 days. So THANKS!!

Thank you for this thread! That process was insane!

So basically, if you have an exchange voucher like above and your end numbers are TR XX YY:
1. Disregard TR XX
2. Enter: 0000YY in the last space for option 1.

WOW!

and threads like these are exactly why I love DISboards. :) I was having issues entering my passholder info. Thanks yall!

Ok, so my AP says Guest ID: XXXXXXXX. Do I need to lop off some of these digiits? Wow. The DL way is so much simpler!!

By doing this, will the "clock" start ticking? I am not going till end of March.

Can anyone link me to where I can do this?

disneyworld.com has changed how you link your annual pass now. The only place I see now is under your profile. There you can add Affiliations.

With the redesign of disneyworld.com, it appears you can only link active annual passes. The old version of disneyworld.com would allow you to link exchange vouchers and doing so did not start the clock on them.
