I liked when they had them early morning, but I think this mid afternoon time works well too. I'm ready for a break from parks etc. by then, and it will be too early to have a dining reservation, so it should be an easy one to do this time.
Doubt it. Some folks act as if DVC has been promising on-line reservations for years and years but really "by the end of 2011" was the first firm timeline they ever provided. And that commitment dates back to 2009.
From an official rep I've been told that it will be discussed at the annual meeting. More unofficially I've heard it's pretty much ready to go.

Although I've never had any problems calling MS, it will be really nice to check and see if rooms are available during any hour of the day. I too hope they have worked out all of the bugs before it goes live.

We own at VGC and I just got the announcement of the membership meeting. It seems to state that the meeting is being held at the Grand Californian and that it will be audio broadcast to WDW. Am I reading that right?

For the most part, it's the other way around. Most of the execs will be present at Walt Disney World and they'll be playing an audio feed of the meeting to those who attend at the Grand Californian. The GM of the Grand Cal should be present to comment specifically on his resort, but 98% of the time you'll just be listening to the proceedings in Florida.
