How are these paid? Are they paid monthly or once/year ?
The monthly option is interest free, so why not use that?
You cannot pay by credit card if you want to be billed monthly (I use a credit card to get the reward points).
As already mentioned, people without a domestic checking account cannot use the monthly option.
Some people prefer not to give companies access to their checking accounts (for security purposes or perhaps a past bad experience).
I think you can pay monthly by credit card, and you don't have to give them your banking number. When you set up your payments, you tell them you want to pay your fees monthly. That's what I did anyway.
We've never been able to pay monthly with a credit card.

And it makes sense to me that they do it that way. Our dues cover the cost to operate the resort for the calendar year. If you pay in full in January you are paying in full in advance so they are willing to cover the credit card fees. If you pay monthly, you are paying as you go so Disney wants each of those payments in full when due.I was told by a guide you could not use a credit card if you did the payments monthly. It's the credit card fees that WDW would have to pay. But if you pay them all at once he told me you could use a credit card.
The best way to pay is Disney Gift Cards. Every December target offers coupons for a spend $50 and get a $10 gift card. You but Disney gift cards for $50 each then used the target gift cards to purchase more gift cards. Then you call member services and pay your annual fees with the gift cards. That's a 20% discount on your annual fees. If you have a Disney Visa card ... You use that and earn disney reward points for an additional savings

With how expensive it's getting to fly that's actually becoming a significant reward.
