Ok here's a silly question. Do you save any money by paying your annual dues in jan. instead of monthly?

I think only if you pay them with a cash back or rewards type credit card to get the rebate. You'd have to pay it off when the bill comes to avoid interest which would negate any "savings" though...

If you pay with Chase Disney Visa card with the 2% points back you could consider it a savings even though you still have to spend it on Disney !! It's the Circle of Life :rotfl:

I just paid my dues using Disney gift cards I bought at target over the last 2 weeks. I saved over 20% by using the $10/$50 coupons and the red card.

We bought the gift cards @ target over the weekend and saved 350.00 on the price of them as well. We've always paid our MF monthly,so my question was really ,if you pay it off in jan. do you get a discount vs. paying it throughout the year?:confused3

No incentive. The total amount you pay is the same whether you pay in one lump sum in Jan or through monthly withdrawal over the year.

That's what we did MS will want to know your checking account info, and away you go,,,,

I think the monthly is only available for checking account right?

The benefit to paying whole in January is if you have a rewards credit card that earn you points say 2 points for Travel related or Disney related purchases, i.e., Capitol One, Chase Sapphire Preferred, Disney Rewards Premier CC. So, $1000 in dues gives you 2,000 points (~$20) back.

:thumbsup2 That's correct!

Thanks for the heads up. I just switched my loan and my dues to automatic deduction. This way it comes out monthly and I can overpay my loan online if I wish.

Awesome!

I am set up for annual statements, but I use my Disney Rewards Points and then charge xxxx amount to my Disney Chase Rewards credit card each month, so by the time the bill comes in January I have a $0 balance, and I would say I use about $600 in rewards dollars each year, so that saves me $600 off my MF. Works for us.:cool1:
