Dh and I currently have our dues deducted monthly along with our DVC loan payment. We plan to pay off the loan by the end of the year. So my question is, if your loan is paid in full, do you then pay dues just once a year, or do they still do the monthly debit?

TIA! :)

I get a bill once a year usually just after Christmas. They are do by sometime in the middle of January. You can pay them all at once. I do not know if you can have them broken down into monthly payments.

You have several options for paying dues. As mentioned, the bill will arrive in late December and is due January 15 (late as of Feb. 15). At that time, you can pay in full by check or by calling Member Accounting and paying in full on a credit card.

You can also continue to pay monthly by having it directly deducted from a bank account. There is no interest or fee charged for this.

When you pay off your loan, check with Member Accounting on whether the automatic dues deduction will continue or if you have to re-establish that option (or if you want to change to another option).

Strikes me as there's no reason to change the monthly deduction. pirate: They don't charge you interest, so why not spread it out and earn interest (or not incur interest) on the remaining portion.

And congrats on paying off your DVC loan.

My thoughts exactly -- it's just another monthly bill, like utilities. :)

And thanks for the congrats -- I hope everything goes according to plan for the payoff. If it does, we'll have cut the repayment time in half and save a lot of money in interest -- more than enough to pay for another trip to WDW! :teeth:

I pay mine with the DVC credit card and get the Disney Dollars.

But as said before you can have it debited from your checking account.

Unfortunately for us North of the Border, we can only pay by monthly deduction if we have a US based bank account

So once a year by credit card for us - reminds us to keep our Christmas spending under control

thanks
