I received a letter today saying that i was randomly selected to take part in this survey. Anyone else get this? Does DVC really pay attention to this survey?

I don't know if they pay attention to it, but I did complete it. Got my letter yesterday

BTW, they don't want comments like "I really think dvc should ....." They ask questions about your stay, etc etc etc.

there was a section with some which are more/least important to you W, X, Y, Z.

I got it too, and filled it out last night...there is a section at the end where they ask for comments on how to make the survey better...I used that to tell them a couple of things (like how I won't use the "trade" option because the $95 fee attached to it is offensive, especially at the non-DVC Disney resort hotels...I made that comment in the context of how to improve their survey questions regarding use of trading-out features)...

It seems to me I get an awful lot of "random selection" surveys from Disney...at least every third phone call to MS and this is the 4th or 5th survey I've gotten in the mail...I sometimes wonder if "random selection" means all but one or two members get each survey???

Not that it matters...I always fill 'em out...makes me feel good to be asked my opinion, even if my opinion turns out to not count at all...

Anyone want to share the questions? In my past experience it seems DVC spins these questions to steer "member decisions" towards things they'd like to implement.

We have not received the survey here...

I am going to fill out the survey right now...will take notes.

OK, here are all the survey questions I had. Please note that since we go for our first DVC stay in 7 days :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: , I had to answer "no" to any questions regarding past stays, which probably made me skip some questions.

The last questions about extending length of contract were interesting, based on what's happening at OKW.

Survey took about a 1/2 hour (although part of that time was taking notes).

I see they are interested in what DVC members know of DLR. I find that most DLR guests, and even DLR AP holders, and west coast Disney fans have no clue what DVC is. Of course they now see the DVC kiosks, but still have no clue as to how it all works.

Marshay, thank you so much for taking the time to post the questions! That was a long one.

It seems that they are trying to find ways to get people to expand use of membership outside of WDW. Knowing that people will use options outside of Disney will play into if they'll expand outside of Disney (a la HHI and Vero). They can't sell memberships to outside resorts that will not be used -- also need to attract buyers who are not Disney nuts....I hear such people exist.

One thing interesting on the 'What websites do you use to plan your trips?' question: they list 15-20 websites or so that you can check off (everything from disneyworld.com to mapquest.com to expedia/travelocity and airline websites.) One of the websites listed is 'disboards.com'!

That was pretty cool to see. I just finished the survey.

I agree, Pam! I can usually make a positive statement to their questions, but they have avoided the questions I really WANT to comment on!
