What is your kid's most annoying toy? DS6 got a plastic sword from the Dollar Tree about a year ago that makes a pretty realistic sound of a sword being drawn from it's sheath. It is very sensitive, so all you have to do is move it slightly and it makes that sound. Very disturbing when moving around in the dark and unexpected. I thought since it came from the DT that it would be dead within a month, but it is still working....:sad2:

We thoroughly enjoy giving "annoying" toys as gifts. (We are evil, I know. ;) :teeth: )

My spouse, when picking out a rattle, made sure to test each one to find the noisiest.

Some of our favs to give have been those "popcorn popper" push/pull-toy thingies and the game Hungry, Hungry Hippos. :p

My DS got those for ALL the guys at Christmas! A screw driver took care of the problem!;)

The Wiggles guitar, anything with lots of pieces and Bobby the Talking BBQ. The BBQ just starts talking and making noise just by walking by it  .

Party-pooper! :p

I don't even want to think about the PAYBACK we're in for if/when we have kids someday.

Lucky Ducks game.

I always gave the most annoying toys I could find, too.

Until I had kids and my friends have now turned on me.

Beware!

We had a Little Tykes desk like that, too. Just walk by it and it started to talk. The really creepy thing about it was that it had no ON/OFF switch. It seemed to mysteriously disappear one day.... ;)

The bead craft kits. My oldest DD loves them. But no matter how well she cleans up after herself You're sure to step on a few later.

Good for you! It's fun, isn't it? :teeth:

I'll bet they did, LOL. :p

I'm hoping everyone will have forgotten, since the past couple years we've been mainly giving $$$. Somehow, though, I don't think they will.... Especially the one sister with five kids. We got hers some doozies, LOL. :teeth:

LOL I remember that game! Any time I barely touched the box it would start quacking. Finally gave it away.

The little BBQ thing has got to go!! I want to drop kick that thing.

My best friend and I always try to out do each other on annoying gifts. The last one he bought was one of the popper things that counts as it rolls.

So, in return, I bought his daughter a barbie horse with a nice size bottle of some kind of glitter gel. When she got it open it ended up in the carpet, her hair, the walls, and a little on the ceiling. She put it in Barbies hair gave her a nice sling. Viola! Glitter gel on ceiling :teeth:

LOL...we think the same thing. You just go near it and it goes off and won't stop!

I hate the Hi O Cherry game or whatever its called that my "darling" SIL gave DD for her 5th birthday last year. Oh, and if I step on one more Barbie high heel....

Ha dto laugh as last night the ducks started quacking in the downstairs(basement) playroom and no one had been in that cupboard for days as they are playing outsise now!!! POSSESSED LITTLE DUCKIES

also another top is bop-it...my daughter is quite good and can get a string of 80-100 going all the time...got a nice beat though...we sometimes dance while she bops!

My bf's Mom gave Madison a Barbie mini radio that plays music and "cds". UGH! It's soo annoying.

Another one that I couldn't wait to get rid of was Hungry Hungry Hippos.

I love this thread---

I am a Walmart Toy Associate- So I can *completely* agree with the above (well except for Hippos as they dont make noise *in* the box)

I want to add to the list my disliked toys (as an Associate)

1) Hulk Hands- Those huge green gloves that make noise when ya move them

2) All the talking Dora toys (Can you help me name the colors)

3) the swinging Monkeys

4) The vibrating car dash board- Really annoying when your cart starts vibrating....

I can say my return carts usually talk back to me... :)

The music to any Nintendo game gets old - FAST. My boys have a habit of stepping away & forgetting to come back to their game right away - then that music repeats itself. It has gotten so bad that they can hardly have any sound when they play.
