Annoying New Layout of Disney Resorts

Is anyone else having the same problem? I'm getting tired of being asked again and again for my user name and password so I can see a Real Player show. I'm not here for the extra's, I'm here for the opinions and ideas found on this board. Perhaps this is there way of fixing things, because I know if it doens't improve, this will no longer be my favorite site.

This is extremely annoying! I don't have enough disk space to install Real Player so it keeps asking me to install it, and I have to cancel it every time I go back to the main resort page. I tried to find a way to stop it, but I can't. If anyone knows how, please help!

you can disable ActiveX controls in your security settings, this will stop the Real Player from loading and you can still see the threaads and graphics

I agree it is quite annoying. I also go the the cruise board and thankfully it does not happen there.

Hmmm... I never had to download anything to see this board, or any of the other boards. Sounds like a real pain in the butt. Definitely post on the Tech board, they should be able to help out.

I sent a message directly to WebmasterAlex requesting that he remove the offending item. Almost certainly it is an add for the Swan/Dolphin. Maybe if he gets more such requests...

I agree, it is VERY aggravating. I'm glad someone finally posted about it. I thought it was just my computer.

I've found that the most problems occur when I use Netscape. If I use IE, it's still annoying, but only slightly. In Netscape, it is way off - I have to scroll over to find out what the post name is, and scroll over about 5 times to find out who original poster was, and another time or two to get who last posted. It at least still looks normal in IE, but I don't like the choice being taken away from me (I hate IE).

I just find the new resort page to be very slow! I have to wait awhile everytime I click on a thread and then go back !

Well, apparently other folks are having the same problem I originally posted about.
We have both Netscape and IE capabilities. I just prefer using Netscape for most things. Only one other site do I HAVE to use IE - and that is for the sound. Never did figure that out.
Hope it's soon resolved. In the meantime I just skip Resort forum.
