What are your thoughts on this music, at first I didnt mind it but now it is just annoying and I cant figure out how to permanently mute it. For a weeks it seemed to mute itself or not pop up but its back in full effect informing everyone with in a room what exactly I am doing even at work. Anyone know how to mute it forever?

Don't know how to mute it forever but as soon as i log on my mouse is in the top right corner of the popup to mute then close it. It is very annoying.

I don't know how to mute it forever, but I do know how to mute my computer speakers before I click on the page. Since you know the sound is coming, I'd suggest that as the quick and easy solution.

Same goes to that annoying advertisement they announce in the beginning whenever you call MS.

This topic came up on the boards a few months ago. Miraculously, about that time several people reported that the music stopped playing for them when they signed on (including myself). The funny thing is, if I sign on to a computer that I only use occasionally, I still get the music. If I sign on to one I use regualrly, it doesn't start. Not sure if I did something to make it stop but I'm just glad it did - drives me nuts!

I just keep my computer in mute mode until I want to listen to something - too many ads out there that start talking to us.

For a company that specializes in making people feel happy, the shock of the music suddenly blasting at us when we forget to mute is contrary to the company's goal. To expect users who don't want that shock to remember to mute their systems before entering the page is poor basic UI design. No website should ask that a user prepare to enter it aside from having a username/pwd ready.

Wonder who approved that one.

What the page needs is a 'settings' tab that will be stored (on their server, not in cookies) so we can keep music, animations ... etc, off or on as desired.

I mute my computer at work which works for me because I don't need any sound from my computer for my job. On the rare occasion that I need sound, I just un-mute it.

agree the first week it was kinda cool, but now, it just annoying.

:guilty: Thanks guys, now that dang song will be in my head until tomorrow. I guess I could play "It's a Small World" to get it outta there.

I just turn the volume off on my computer. On the several survey's I've taken on the DVC member website, I always write about how annoying the music is, and how they should take it off.:scared1:

I am one of the lucky ones who no longer has music. Not sure why but I am very happy. I would usually forget to hit mute before I logged on. I wish Disney would put as much effort into making the member site navigable and useful as they do making it fancy.
