Anniversary Magic...please share your ideas!

We're celebrating our 5 year anniversary this July at WDW! So far we have dinner at CRT ressies.

I have had quite a few requests for more info on the gift box I had sent to my hubby for our anniversary trip last summer. I hope that it is ok to post on here the email address of the person who I dealt with.

pixiedustdelivery@yahoo.com

it is dodie and jane and they create gift bags/basket/boxes for any occasion. I worked for weeks with them to get just the right ideas of what to put in the box along with what price i wanted to spend.

We had bride and groom mickey ears; mickey wine glasses; non alcoholic cider; christmas ornament; window cling; candies; card, antena topper.

Here are some photos of our box

Someone asked if you can "celebrate your anniversary" even if it's not on the actual date. I'd love to hear thoughts on that.

DH and I are celebrating 10 years in November. We are doing a "New Year's" vacation and cruise on the Wonder for 3 short days... but this will come 2 months after the anniversary.. however, the trip is our anniversary gift to each other.

Can we still tell WDW that it's our anniversary?

It's that honest bone in my lower leg... it just wants me to make sure I can do it!!;)

DH and I celebrated our 20th anniversary last Oct. We started off with lunch at the Coral Reef. I called the restaurant and arranged for an anniversary cake and the diver to come down with a Happy 20th Anniversary banner.

We left the restaurant and went to the pin station where DH was surprised by the "Pixies" from Gifts of a Lifetime. They made up a scavenger hunt of sorts that took us all through the world showcase and ended up with DH and me sharing a romantic moment.

For dinner, we went to the GF and sat in the lobby with drinks listening to the great band playing. After a little while we were met by our waiter who took us to our private dining location (alcove by the marina). I had pre-ordered dinner for us. We had our own private table for 2 overlooking the lagoon where we could hear the music from Spectro and watch Wishes. It was really unbelievable. I'm not sure if they still do the private dining at this location, but you can call the number to find out locations available.

All and all it was a fantastic experience.

We'll be celebrating our 30th at WDW & DCL in June. Celebrated our 25th at CBR and had such a great time that we decided our 30th should be spent at the World, also. This time Poly!!! :flower3:

Could you tell me more about the pins? We are hoping to get down for our 30th this December. Thanks!

When my DH & I went for our 25th, I took a Minnie & Mickey wedding picture and made an iron-on for a t-shirt. It had the picture & read "Rick & Nancy" above & "25 Years of Magic" with the date of our wedding below. We wore the matching shirts to the park on our anniversary. We had a ball! Cast members and visitors alike were stopping us & wishing us a happy anniversary. Some people asked to take our pictures. It was great fun!

Randy's website is www dot chapmanphotography dot com he is awesome, i had his for my wedding a year ago. he does book up very very quick with weddings so if you are considering him i would call asap. best wishes

I'm sorry I've been offline for a couple weeks so didn't get back to those who asked about Randy Chapman. His website is: www.chapmanphotography.com and his phone number is 407-841-2300. In 2002, our price was $450 and included three hours of time with Randy (we had the photos done at Epcot), plus all the prints and negatives. We ended up with about 170 prints and they were absolutely phenomenal. Very worth the money. Randy is awesome and so comfortable and easy to be with. If you have the photo session done in one of the parks, you will need to buy his entrance.

We've already reserved him for this November - he is very popular so I would suggest calling as far in advance as possible. Kathryn

What a great idea! Have to remember that. Thanks.

This is a great idea too! This whole thread is filled with them, I am busy writing down all the info for our next big event...

We had a nice dinner @ Artist Point and a carriage ride through Fort Wilderness afterwards...We had stayed at the WL for our honeymoon and we always make a point to eat at Artist Point every trip...just the two of us (we usually travel with a large group....but this is OUR place)

We celebrated our 10th aniversary at Grand Floridian last nov. We got married at Disney and had our reception at Grand Floridian. I read about the dining experience on the board and decide to try it and I included my first ex-in-laws who have been married 40 yrs. .We also had a private butler. The food was very good and the castle cake was great. It was down by the mariana and was so quiet and romanic. Everything was timed perfect so that we were done by the time the fireworks started. The view was breath taking. The in-laws were so surprised and loved every minute of it. The cost was so worth it.It something that you will remember for the rest of your life.I'd do it again in a heartbeat.::love:

great thread.. on our 1st anniversary we ate at cinderella's castle, and did some of our favourite rides - soarin' was one of them. We wore the buttons, and had some fun interaction with cm's and characters. We finished the day with Illuminations, reflections of earth, which is my favourite firework show.

Wish I'd known about the carriage rides that really would have been great... never mind. Maybe when we get to 5 years eh?

I just booked our Illuminations Cruise this morning for the evening of our 10th Anniversary!! I'm so excited about this, I couldn't wait for 7:00 a.m. this morning so I could call, but got right to a CM and reserved it with no issue!!

Subscribing for ideas...

Dh and I are going in December with our family and staying off-propery. We are planning a night out for just us (leaving the little ones with Grandma) to celebrate our 10th anniversary. In addition to trying to catch Wishes (his first time!!) we've tossed around four ideas:

1- Carriage ride through FW then dinner at CG during Wishes
2- Couples massage at GF
3- Spend the night at the GF or Poly with a view of MK
4- Spirit of Aloha Polynesian Luau

I've been reading A LOT of reviews on all of those and I still can't decide what we should do. :confused3 We're leaning toward #4, but I don't know that a dinner show would be very intimate. Also, dh is not a disneyholic and I'm hoping to do something with him that will spark the magic and make something say "hey, we should do this more often!!"

DBF and I did the carriage ride and it was wonderful, very romantic... the couple that got off their ride before we got on had just gotten engaged! :cloud9:

There are some great ideas in this thread - I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on something to mark 20th anniversary for hubby. We will be at the world for the day --- this is his trip he is planning it all --- we are staying at WL and eating at Artiste Point on the actual date. I wanted to do something as a surprize. I would welcome any thoughts- this is not our first trip to WDW.

Thanks :tigger:
