DH, DS (24) and I will be staying at the GF on DH and my 31st anniversary in August. Originally, I wanted to have dinner at the California Grill and watch the fireworks from there. However, it turns out that EMH for MK are that evening from 9-11 and DH wants to take advantage of them. Also, DS, who grew up with a sensory disability, feels he has overcome it enough to watch the fireworks in the park up close for the first time without discomfort. (For years we’ve watched them from the dock at the GF, the California Grill, a balcony or a boat on the lagoon, so he could see them, but not be overwhelmed by the noise.) I want to support this personal growth, so we will definitely go to MK to see the fireworks. This means we have to have an early dinner in the MK area, and then head over to the park afterwards. Where would you celebrate your anniversary with this particular schedule? Obviously, V&A is not an option since it would take too long. Right now, we have a 5:45 ADR at Narcoosee’s, but I’m second guessing it. Our other dinners/evening plans for the rest of the trip are: Hollywood Brown Derby/Fantasmic, Jiko/Rivers of Light, and Spice Road/Illuminations.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

You could maybe still do California Grill at the earlier time. Would probably be a hard ADR to get at this point but you never know.

Then you could walk over to MK.

Enjoy the trip!

I think staying with the monorail restaurants for a celebratory dinner makes good sense for all the reasons you noted. Narcoosee's, Citrico's, Artist Point (not a monorail destination but easy access to MK via boat) and of course CG which you seem familiar with are all good choices so choose the menu that appeals to you most and get to booking:).
Enjoy your latest trip and forthcoming anniversary!

You have some great choices so far. Maybe go a little Causal and do GF Cafe or The Wave. Fun could be Crystal Palace.

We are dining at Narcoossees for our 25th Anniversary next month. A lot of friends recommended it including our travel agent who celebrated hers there as well as a CM I spoke with on the phone when reserving cabanas.

I think we’ll stick with Narcoosee’s, but i noticed the key lime pie has left the menu. I could swear it was there in the past.

I greatly prefer Artist Point to Narcoosee's. I think the food, service and atmosphere are much nicer. I also love taking the boat from WL to MK. Have you considered booking the dessert party for HEA that evening? Since it's your son's first time watching the fireworks inside the park and it's your anniversary, it might be a nice way to celebrate!

We did Narcoossee's last year for our 30th and really enjoyed it. It was an evening on the quieter side, which was nice.

This year we tried CA Grill. It is SOOOOOOO loud and we went early, 5:45. We each had the filet and thought it was just ok. I couldn't cut mine, cooked medium and it was oddly stringy (no one shoot me, that was our experience).

There is nothing wrong with Narcoossees, you will enjoy it.
I prefer California Grill, it can be louder, but prefer the food over Narcoossees.
Whatever you choose, enjoy.
With you husbands sensory issues, I would suggest staying back on Main Street around Caseys or so instead of trying to be close around the hub.
