My dh and I are going on the Wonder 4 days after our 12th Anniversary. I didn't tell my TA about the occasion. Should I??? What do they do for anniversaries? Any info is appreciated!

If you tell them you are celebrating an occasion, they will celebrate it in the dining room with a cake and a song. The cake is pretty good.

Definitely tell them about your anniversary. We are going for our anniversary (5th) and I told my TA. She said that they asked what day we wanted to celebrate (our actual date is the 20th, but our 7 day does not leave until the 21st), so I'm not sure what they will do, but I guess something. We celebrated our 1st and 2nd anniveraries at WDW. They gave us a call and a nice Minnie and Mickey card for the 1 year, but nothing for the 2. It wasn't much, but it was something! I figure that it can't hurt. Happy Anniversary!Sus:)

Denine, we posted at almost the same time, so I did not see it before I replied. We don't want any part of being embarrassed in the dining room! My husband, especially, will NOT enjoy this. Thanks for the tip!Sus:)

Make sure your TA knows. We celebrated our 20th anniv on the ship and it was great. At dinner they brought us a cake and the waiters used an Eastern European tradition of tying our wrists together and sand a song...It was really fun. The whole table had a good time.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I hate being sung to..anywhere. But, I do have to say it is fun. There are so many people having the same thing done every night! It was more fun than embarrasing.

When I made reservations last year for Feb 02 - the Castaway Club rep asked me if we were going to have any significant events happening. I said that July would be our 20th anniversary and she said, "Well, that's significant!" The head server took me off to the side and said that they would be having a special moment for us during the week - did I have any preferences as to which night? It ended up being the later in the week and we were all surpised to find a very nicely decorated cake (enough for about 6 people) and the servers sang to us.

I wanted to keep the Mickey decorations but alas they were made of sugar and didn't keep! Cake was delicious and my DH was VERY surprised!

This was the cruise that we were also the "Dining Room Family of the Week" - received a note in our door telling us that every evening we would receive something special from the Dining Room. And we did, fruit bowl, cheese and fruit, pastries, chocolate assortment. From what Guest Services told us, each department picks out a stateroom to be their "Family of the Week" and gives them something special. One lady told us that she received a small model of the ship signed by Captain Hans from the Gift Shop.

Happy Sailing!
