Annie passed away. I have some questions, pg 6

Oh Dawn - I'm so sorry! I know how very much Annie meant to you. Your words bought tears to my eye's. I hope my beloved Sophie was there to meet your Annie so that they can play together. So sorry Dawn.

I truly believe that God blessed me with her and that she waited for me to say goodbye. The vet said that she waited. He was wonderful. I just can't believe that a dog so full of life could get so ill so quickly. It started after Easter with the excessive urination and thirst. That improved in 10 days and then about 4 days later, she slipped and hurt her shoulder, although I don't think she was her usual, carefree self after Easter. She was a very stoic dog. I guess I will never really know how bad she felt. She knew that I couldn't let her go however so she waited for me and then left on her own. I am grateful to her for that.

My corgi went downhill that fast. He went from being just a little 'blah' to deathly ill within a few hours. The final diagnosis was lymphoma that caused acute renal shutdown. He was ten years old.

Animals feel and know a lot more than we give them credit for. She wanted to say goodbye to you. So sorry to hear the sad news. I was hoping she would pull through. :grouphug:

I am so very sorry Dawn, you are in my thoughts. :grouphug: :grouphug:

I'm sorry, Dawn. :grouphug: I'm glad you made it there for her at the end. She surely knew how much you loved her, and at least is not suffering anymore. Remember, she'll always be close in your heart.

I also want to say how very sorry I am for you and your family-and how brave you were to hold her as she passed. I couldn't have done it. I am also facing that decision(that I can't make) for Sini- she'll be 14 in August and failing, but still my love. Keep those memories close to your heart, you were in hers, and always will be.

:sad:Oh Dawn, how sad. There is nothing in this life like a Standard Poodle. I've had many dogs, but nothing can touch the loyal, steadfast, regal attitude of a good Poodle. I am so sorry for your loss and I'm glad you made it in time to say goodbye. It sounds as if she knew you were coming and waited for you one last time. :grouphug:

I'm so very sorry, Dawn. Annie sounds like a true friend and companion and I know your heart is breaking right now.

May the warm and happy memories you have of Annie bring you a little comfort during this difficult time. :grouphug:

Oh, Dawn, I'm so sorry....

I know how much you loved Annie and know the intense pain of losing of loving pet.

God bless you and your family,

Robinrs

I am sorry that you lost Annie. There is no friend like a beloved pet. Loyal and faithful til the end. Sounds like Annie waited on you to say goodbye. I am glad it worked out that way for you. I had to make the decision to put Bucky down a couple years back and it is a hard thing to say "OK" to when the vet asks at the end. Your heart will grieve for her for a long, long time, Dawn. I guess because their love is so different--so freely given and there is such devotion. Anyway, I am sorry to hear she is gone. I know that you will miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss. She sounds like she was a wonderful, loving dog. They are truly members of the family. Take care.
