I decided I would post some thoughts on my wonderful trip! I enjoyed reading everyone else's reports before I left, so I hope you enjoy mine. 2 friends having a great time in Disney, what could be better than that? I think adults enjoy Disney more than kids anyway! I stayed at Pop Century which I loved. We visited a few other resorts (Animal Kingdom Lodge, Widerness Lodge, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian), and Pop just feels more like Disney to me. We stayed in a 3rd floor standard room in the 50's Tramp building. We were close to the bowling pin pool and the main building. Could see the fireworks at MK and Epcot from our balcony. I highly recommend using Magical Express. It was wonderful! Airtran is not one of the airlines that can check in at the hotel when leaving, so unfortunately I had to wait 45 minutes in line at the airport. Some of the highlights of my trip: Soarin. I was nervous to ride it at first since I am scared of heights. But after doing it once, I had to ride it again! I just closed my eyes when we first went up! I loved all the parades. The cars at MGM are so cute. I esp. liked Aladdin's and the Toy Story cars. I rode in the front of the monorail for the first time, and that was so cool! I like how it is so much easier to meet the characters now. You know where to find them and it's nice that some of them are in air-conditioned buildings! I think half of my pictures are me and the characters! We enjoyed seeing Herman's Hermits at Epcot. They were there for the Flower and Garden Festival. We saw them 4 times! I think we are groupies now...ha! And now for my food reviews. We had 2 character meals-Liberty Tree Tavern was ok. I liked the macaroni and cheese the best. They do give you alot of food! I wouldn't do that one again. Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch was better. Food was great, and the atmosphere was fun. Liked the little parade. I wanted to eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe after reading about it on here. I was disappointed. We had no reservation but got in when it opened at 5. They sat us in a smaller room off of the big room. The food was good, had their famous skillet, but there wasn't much "fun" back there! There seemed to be more action in the main room. I visited Coronado Springs and ate a delicious steak at the Pepper Market. We also enjoyed the pizza and salad at Pizza Planet at MGM. Ate there twice! We were fortunate that Tropical Storm Alberto didn't ruin our trip. It did rain, very hard at times, but then it would clear up! It had been SO hot for the first 3 days so it actually cooled off a bit when it rained. I was so happy when I could throw away my rain poncho! I never wanted to see that again! ha! So, there you have it!
