I'm going the week of Thanksgiving 2011.
I've stayed at the HoJo before, and also the Fairfield. I'm not a Newbie,,, just can't decide if I should try something new?
Looking for something within easy walk, and under $150.00 per night. free parking would help, but not a must.
Thoughts? Experiences?
Thanks in advance!:hippie:

I've stayed at the Anabella twice for conventions, and have had great experiences both times. The first time, I stayed in a double-double with hardwood floors right near the adult pool. It was great, although there was a bit of road noise from Katella. The AC pretty much drowned it out, but if you're a light sleeper that might be a consideration. Some rooms are RIGHT next to the sidewalk. The second time, I was in a Mission Suite, further back on the property, which was nice and roomy (and had a tiny little separate bedroom with a daybed that would be great for a child).

It is a hike to the parks, though. You can go up Disneyland Dr. and cut through the lobby of the GCH, which cuts down a few minutes, but it's still a longer hike than the Fairfield (and probably the Hojo). I consider myself a pretty fast walker, and I'd estimate it took me about 15 minutes or so to get there.

I would stay there again in a minute if it was just me; but with my entire family (including a toddler and a husband with a bum ankle), I think it's too far of a walk for us.

I had a lot of trouble narrowing down hotel choices as well, thought we were going to go with Park Vue Inn but after the last couple threads about it have decided I am going with hojo in the end because it just seems like a safe bet at this point. Fairfield Inn seems to have quite a few good reviews on here too. I have little ones so it was the Hojo pool that sealed the deal for me between those two.

I think it may be too far of a walk for us too.... I would like to be close to the GC though, so we could have breakfast at White Water snacks a few times......

Thanks for your imput!:)

I've stayed at HOJO, FFI, and Best Western Park Place Inn. There all adequate and clean. BWPPI for being the absolute closest to the park, FFI for being near the McDonalds and second closest, and HOJO for friendly staff and good pool area. I would choose any of the three. Typically HOJO has best prices and is rated the best among fellow disers.

We LOVE Residence Inn. Remember, their rate includes a hot breakfast buffet daily and a nice appetizer several evenings a week. It also includes free parking (at maingate ri, resort area ri charges for parking). Plus they will grocery shop for free for you, and you have a full kitchen and all utensils.

It's walking distance, we've done it. It's about 1/3 or less of a mile from maingate.
