Just wondering what the procedure was at rope drop if you have a FP for 9-10am and want to go directly to A&E. Do you follow the rest of the crowd or is there a separate line up for those with FPs? Thanks.

There is always a separate entrance.

But I'd suggest avoiding that immediate area until 9:30 or 9:45 and take advantage of short lines on a couple of rides.

You go through the FP line which is separate.

I think I worded my question incorrectly. I understand that the FP line is seperate. From what I understand, The new rope drop procedure is that CMs walk everyone from the entrance, down Main st. to the hub. Around the hub, to the backside of the castle. Around the carousel and then to the entrance of the Princess Fairytale Hall.

So if I have a FP and am in line at the entrance (say 25 rows deep), and we are mostly all heading towards the A&E meet and greet, at what point do I get to go from 25 rows deep to the front of the line with my FP without people thinking I'm cutting the line? Or in other words, where does the FP line start because all the FP lines I've ever been to start right near the entrance to the attraction. So how do I get from 25 rows deep to the entrance of the FP line without people thinking I'm cutting. Just having trouble visualizing how this works when SB folks and FP folks are all mingled together in a sea of people heading to the same attraction.

If you have a FP+ for the very first minute of the park operation, but you are 25 rows back at the entrance of the MK when the "show" ends and the people are let in, then, quite simply, you are not going to get to use your FP in the first 10 minutes of operation. There is no procedure for you to "pass" the thousands of people who beat you to the turnstile. You simply walk to the A&E meet and greet area, get into the FP return line, and "pass" all of those other people at that time. Realistically, you will be using your FP around 9:10-9:15 unless they drop the rope at 8:45-8:55 (which is always possible.) Your FP allows you to pass people once you get to the ride. It does not allow you to pass people at the park entrance (the way having an early ADR would). But as mom2rtk points out, your best strategy is to head to other rides (like Peter Pan and/or Belle) between 9:00-9:45 and use your FP much closer to 10:00.

When you get to the attraction, separate from the masses and go to the FP entrance. It's that simple. It doesn't matter what others think--you have a FastPass.

This sentence...
at what point do I get to go from 25 rows deep to the front of the line with my FP without people thinking I'm cutting the line?

...makes me think that he is asking how he gets to the front of the line at the turnstile/tapstile. Since the ride doesn't have people in rows "25 deep", it would seem that what he is trying to do is pass people earlier on in the process than simply getting in the FP line. If that is what he is asking, the answer is, he can't.

Yep, he's just another person in the crowd until he gets to the attraction itself.

We had them early once too and avoided the entire thing until 9:50. We did other rides while lines were short then headed over once the crowd was gone for our FP.

I wasn't thinking I could bypass the folks at the turnstile. What I was envisioning is that there is a mob of a thousand or so folks being led down Main Street to the hub, around the castle and into Fantasyland. At which point they would lead you around the carousel and to the entrance to Fairytale Hall. Then I envisioned hundreds if not thousands collecting in the que and overflowing out into Fantasyland and back around the Carousel. I wasn't sure that I would just be able to pull out of line at some point to join the fastpass que or stay in some sort of dedicated FP line (from the entrance of FL) to get to the FP que or what the procedure was.

From what I'm reading, they would lead everyone to the attraction, but once inside Fantasyland you are free to roam to other areas including the FP que for A&E. Once you enter Fantasyland, you could dart to the FP entrance.

I will probably heed others advice and ride some other standby rides first . My only concern was that in my touring plan, Touring Plans.com is saying that there will be a 36 min wait for A&E at 10am WITH a FP. At 9:05 it would be a 5 min wait with a FP. Sounds like others are experiencing much less wait times than 36 mins when using their FPs though so this is why I will try for a time closer to 10am. This of course is all predicated on me be able to get FPs for A&E at 60 days out for first thing in the morning. If not, I'll just adjust my touring plan. Thanks again folks.

FWIW, I have seen A & E several times with FP+ and NEVER once waited longer than 10 minutes (even as late at 11am). Wait until 10am and it will still be a walk on with FP+
