Anna, Elsa, and Olaf open edition MagicBands coming to Hollywood Studios

Let the craziness begin! My GUESS is that these will make sounds and different colors on the touch-points just like the Star Wars bands did.

They had Star Wars limited edition ones this year. I have a Yoda MB and if I use it at DHS Yoda says something at the touch points.

I will have to add these to my MB collect. I have so many I can mix and match for every trip.

I was thinking the same thing. I do like the Frozen ones, especially Olaf, but a red Mickey band would be awesome. And maybe a few princesses too!

If you do a Google search for 'DVC central', that site has cover bands and I believe they do have the classic characters

Can you buy these magic bands(on ebay or elsewhere) and then link them to tickets down the road and if so do they have to be New or can you just wipe the previous information out. We are planning a trip fall of 2015 and it would be nice to get them.

As with all retail purchases of MagicBands, they have to be linked at the time of purchase. If someone was to resell these, the purchaser would not be able to link it to their MDE account.

That stinks. Was going to have friends grab us MB while on their upcoming trip and maybe even buy one of the NIB Star Wars ones on ebay.

It actually looks like you can. It says this on the page:

Don't See a Purchased MagicBand?
If you purchase a MagicBand and don't do in-store set-up, you'll need to link the MagicBand ID Number to your account.

You can but Disney does not sell the special ones without linking it to something. I had to do a massive swap on MDE to get my Yoda one assigned to me and the only reason I was able to do the swap was because my CM friend put her comp ticket on it. Once I had the yoda band in my possession we linked it to her account and the assigned teh ticket on it to someone else.

Resells would not be this easy because you need to be friends with the person on MDE whose ticket is linked to the MB and I believe they could not have actually used the MB yet.
