We are going the first weekend in February, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will have their stay extended! If they do, typically how late in the day are they there? Are they there during EMH?

They have had their stay extended! Berlioz reported this on another thread.

Last month, their last meet was at 7:55 and guests were in line by 6:00.

I concur, fastpass would be the way to go for these super popular meet and greets. Question, because I don't have kids and know nothing about this process, do any of the character meets offer fast pass?

There are currently six or seven across three parks, depending on how you want to count Enchanted Tales With Belle. See the green link in my signature for a complete list.

I see lots of the characters from over at the side. When one group is walking away from them and the next group is walking forward, there is often a brief opportunity to take a picture without a child in it.

Not many. For those that do, it will be an indoor location

FWIW, I just got my AP email newsletter and under dates to remember it lists the frozen M&G as now-Jan 31. I have no doubt they will be around long term, but I wonder if they will be moving the location or changing something up at the end of January.

A recent post from a knowledgeable poster indicates they are staying put in Norway past 1/31.
