Anna and Elsa FP confirmation

We were at DL yesterday and did the Anna and Elsa meet and great with the new system. I can't necessarily answer some of the specific questions that have been asked recently, but I'll give our experience with it.

DL opened at 10 yesterday. We got to the gates at 9:10. We were about 5 or 6 families back from the front. They opened the gates at 9:40. We walked average speed down Main Street and immediately saw a CM with a "Frozen" paddle directing people into the A&E line. We got in. I'm honestly not sure how far back we were because the line curved around the partners statue and I'm not sure where it started. We were right behind the partner statue. I thought we were about 50 people back, my husband thought it was more like 100. They started walking us back about 5 or 10 minutes before 10. Once we were at the M&G area, it took about 10 to 15 minutes to get our tickets. Our return time was 10:50 to 11:10. When I asked, they told us that we would still have a 30 to 60 minute wait when we came back at our time. We got back to the area at exactly 10:50 and literally walked right in. We didn't have to wait at all. It was really great and we loved the new system!

That's awesome! But honestly it sounds like they are playing it a little on the safe side estimating how many tickets to issue. I would think a 15 minute backlog would be reasonable. I just hate to think of anyone being turned away who wasn't there first thing.

For the first time, I've seen a report of someone who stated that a few groups near the front of the line in the morning do not get return passes, but line up immediately for the M&G.

From what I saw Friday, the pre-queue is still forming. At about 15 minutes before opening, the crowd is moved to the castle, but held there for several minutes.

When they ran the test at WDW, they allowed the standby line to fill to an expected 30 minute wait. They started issuing return passes for 30 minutes later using a 30 minute window. Since they are using 20 minute windows for this, maybe they are letting the line fill to an expected wait of about 20 minutes?

Perlster, do you hear rumors about them moving to DCA?

Well, I do occasionally visit that "other site". The rumor about the skating rink in Studio 17 at DCAP must be wrong, since it has been officially announced that the DTD rink will return this year. Other than Maelstrom getting Frozen (at Epcot), everything else "reported" is unsubstantiated, and I don't have anything to add.

UPDATE / CLARIFICATION : From what I heard, it's not necessary for every member of the party to personally be present to get a return ticket, but the admission media for everyone must have been scanned at the gate. So, sorry, but the family can't sleep in while one lucky grown-up has the honor of obtaining return tickets for the whole group.

Thanks Perlster. I was just curious if you had heard anything other than was that other site reported. It sounds like that's a no. :)

I'm trying to keep a close watch on where to find them..... in case this pile of sparkly blue stuff laying here actually turns into something before our trip.

When we were there on the 6th, they were allowing one person to get all the FP's. As stated in PPs, your ticket had to have been scanned for entry. I actually liked the way the FP's were handed out. We got to the line around 10:15 a.m., and within 10 minutes had the FP's for a return between 5:40 and 6:00 p.m. Once we returned for our M&G, we waited about 20 minutes to get the photo.

We did this on Sat. My husband didn't make it to the pre entry line (we were getting Dapper and didn't make it to the gate until 7:45 for a 8:00 EMH). He was the first non-pre entry person in line. It appeared about half the pre line was in the queue already and the other half getting tickets. We didn't need to stay with him, but if you have an under 3 child, you need to tell them so they can get a pass since they won't have a ticket. We had a return time of 8:40-9:00. Lined up around 9:00 and were out by 9:30. There were still passes left at that time.

What is the latest return time they issue?

Thank you guys so much for providing this feedback! This is going to be so helpful!

I have a weird question though, what if you want to use touring plans to set your day? They have not yet included a FP function for the Frozen M&G. If I put the M&G in I just get a 114 minute wait time.

If it was just my husband, daughter and myself going it wouldn't be a big deal but I want to help the other family we are going with out, because they will be needing a lot of structure and don't know anything about DLR.

Any good suggestions on how to make sure this accounts for some period of time in my touring plan but not as much as it is?

I think its because they don't actually consider it a FP, they call it a return ticket. They don't do a fast pass because it doesn't affect your ability to get other fast passes in the park. That's what the cast members told us on Saturday when we got our return tickets.

That makes sense, thank you. I think I'm going to try to use another attraction with a FP and use it as a placeholder.

It is not a Fast Pass because you can not enter the line without the return ticket.

Not necessarily a question about the Return tickets..... I am wondering if anyone in the parks over the last few days have noticed if there are Elsa dresses in stock yet or if they are still swept off the shelves before the CMs can finish hanging them??? Particularly at BBB?

We have a cheap TRU version, but have booked BBB for the Castle Package in hopes of obtaining the crazy expensive Disney version on October 5th :).

I popped my head in on Sat and there were both Anna and Elsa dresses. They also had Anna gloves, Elsa wigs and a couple of other things. I don't know how long they stayed on the shelves but it wasn't a mad house around them.

So we got back yesterday and here was our Anna and Elsa experience.

WE went Thursday on the magic morning. We were at the gate linedup at 8.30am for a 9am EE. At 8.50am they let us in for the rope drop. All those wanting the FP had to go on the leftside of main street to form a line for the FP. at 8.55am they walked the line into fantasyland where we lined up to get our FP for the meet and greet.

By 9.10 we had gotten our return ticket for a 9.40am return. At 9.40 we just walked right in to Anna and Elsa. We were back at the castle at 9.55 watching everyone else for regular rope drop all waiting to run to the lineup.

I would say if you are going on a MM then go do it first before the regualr park people enter.

Great news! Thanks :)

I had a long post and somehow lost it, lol.

We went on Friday for a regular 9am opening. At the gates by 8:00, they opened a around 8:30 and the daddy dash to the hub began. DH went ahead and I had the kids. The first 40 people to the CM at the rope were told they would be waiting standby. We were the second group after that 40 people. They walked us thru about 8:50 and the first 40 got in the line, the rest of us made an orderly line next to the CM distributing the return passes. At 9:00, they handed them out - they were not scanning tickets because they had not charged their scanners. They gave us the passes with a 9:20 return time. We then went to BBB and got DD's Elsa dress and crown. The CM told me that the wig is so small that it barely fits toddlers, so we didn't buy it. We rode Snow White, then got in line at 9:20, they checked our passes and we walked right in. DD took pics and got autographs and was on cloud 9! Thanks to everyone here we knew exactly what to do. Thanks so much!

I want to make sure I understand this process so I don't go to the wrong place :)
We will be going next month on a MM. Early Entry is at 8, park opens to public at 9. Please tell me if this is what I should be doing.

We are planning on being to the park no later than 7:30am. Once they let us into the park I should be going to the hub on the left hand side (Statue of Walt & Mickey). There should be someone there with some sort of Frozen sign/hat?!?!
I should get in that line and they walk us to the area where they are handing out the return tickets? Is this correct? And I can take the tickets for our whole group once we get into the park?
Am I planning on getting there early enough? We are going on a Tuesday and staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn. We were hoping to grab breakfast and walk over to the entrance while eating.
Thanks in Advance!
