Anna and Elsa FP confirmation

When I was there on Wednesday they had everyone line up at the hub, then moved the entire line into Fantasyland. There were cast members with Anna and Elsa mickey head signs at the far end of Main Street waving people toward the hub. Then we all followed them through the castle and lined up around the Village Haus restaurant waiting to be given the FPs (there is no machine, just two cms, one who scans your ticket/AP and the other who hands you a corresponding FP.) Now I went on a non-EE day, but they still often open Main Street about half an hour before the official open time, so get there early! We were let in about 9:30 which is when the line began forming at the hub, and we were allowed into Fantasyland at about 9:45ish.

Also I did NOT have to have all members of my party present to get the return tickets (I got all 5 by myself with just their APs like a regular FP.) This may change of course so it would be a good idea to have your family in the general vicinity or to at least ask the CMs when you are lining up for the return tickets whether you all need to stay.

Also yesterday (our last day) I talked to one of the CMs handling the line and she said it had been really successful and it looks like they will definitely be keeping it through at least the holiday season. Take that with a grain of salt of course, as it could just be rumor, but it's encouraging to see that it will probably be around for awhile!

Awesome! Thanks - Hubby and DS are staying back at the hotel and I'm taking DD early before they open in hopes of meeting them. We are Disneyland newbies so hopefully I can figure out the navigation part. :cool1:

Be aware that there is no longer a “Stand-By” line. Another site has explained this in great detail. I think it is against the rules for me to post this site, PM me if you are interested. :tink:

Dumb Question - which one of these is the "hub"? Thanks for putting up with me :)

My understanding is that the Hub is by the Partners Statue at the top of Main Street in front of the Castle. It is called the Hub because then you have spoke like access to the various lands.

I think the line up for FP is to your left as you are facing the Castle and the Partners Statue.

Top one is the Hub. Bottom one is Town Square.

Assuming this is still a thing...
We will be going to DL Tuesday, Oct 7 and using the MM. Its my sons 6th bday and we have 9:30 reservations at Plaza Inn. Im worried that if I get a FP for A & E it could possibly be during our dining reservation. I was planning on being there at LEAST 30 mins before the MM starts and then trying to get FP's. Im assuming you get what you get and you can't try to ask for one later in the day??? Im trying to decided if I should push Plaza in to like 11:30 and make a brunch of it instead. I really don't want to skip Plaza Inn because my other son is OBSESSED with Captain Hook and I keep hearing he is at Plaza Inn.
Any advice would be great. Thanks In advance!!

I was beginning to worry about the same thing. We also have dining reservations.

The return times have been running out so quickly you can probably just stand there for a couple of minutes to get a later time.

This is exactly what we plan to do.... my DD has a BBB appointment for the Castle Package at 8:20 AM so we are allowing for 2 hours.... hubby will stand in line to get the FP and keep letting the person behind him go until they are handing out the 10:30 return times or later. :) That is the plan anyway.... assuming we are far enough up the line for it!

Yep I was going to suggest what the above posters did. Have fun!

Somebody on the previous page said you all need to be there to get the FPs, so your DH can't do it alone. I supposed you could come out of BBB to do it, but just a heads up.

I guess we will just have to see whats going on when we get there.....we wanted to try and have her meet them the day of her BBB makeover but I also dont want to wait until that day to try and meet them....because its on one of our last days at the park. So maybe we will just try to meet them 2 times :thumbsup2

I was able to get five by myself on Wednesday. Definitely check with the CMs, but I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed "runners" since it makes the lines physically much shorter and in the way of other guests.

I actually hope it is this way because I want to send DH over to get them! I was just going by what a previous poster said.

We're going to be in DL on Oct 7th as well, but we don't have MM. Going on a non-MM day is not an option because we're only doing 1 park per day and due to MHP on Oct 8 and the early closure at DL, I opted to plan on DCA for Wed (I don't know if that makes sense).

We're definitely planning on getting to the park super early - before 8 (park opens at 9), but I'm afraid of them running out of FP before we even get into the park... especially without a standby option..

I guess I just have to hope and pray they don't run out! Yikes!

Yes, I read that, but then the most recent experience was that they went alone and managed to get everyone's. I think we will all go, talk to the CM and explain that we have an appointment... Wait with hubby until we absolutely have to be at BBB for our appointment. It is basically right there anyway... We shall see how it works out :)

Would you by any chance know where I can buy Elsa Olaf stuff at DL or downtown dis?

We were at DL yesterday and did the Anna and Elsa meet and great with the new system. I can't necessarily answer some of the specific questions that have been asked recently, but I'll give our experience with it.

DL opened at 10 yesterday. We got to the gates at 9:10. We were about 5 or 6 families back from the front. They opened the gates at 9:40. We walked average speed down Main Street and immediately saw a CM with a "Frozen" paddle directing people into the A&E line. We got in. I'm honestly not sure how far back we were because the line curved around the partners statue and I'm not sure where it started. We were right behind the partner statue. I thought we were about 50 people back, my husband thought it was more like 100. They started walking us back about 5 or 10 minutes before 10. Once we were at the M&G area, it took about 10 to 15 minutes to get our tickets. Our return time was 10:50 to 11:10. When I asked, they told us that we would still have a 30 to 60 minute wait when we came back at our time. We got back to the area at exactly 10:50 and literally walked right in. We didn't have to wait at all. It was really great and we loved the new system!
