A while back there were some bad reports about the FX not working properly or at all at this Restaurant.

Are there any updates available?

While I know things happen, wouldn't that kinda like going to MK and finding out there was no visual, only audio, at Philharmagic...of course without any signs to warn you and no way to repeat the show.

Well, no, it's really not the same at all. They would just shut down an attraction at the theme parks if that happened. They can't just shut down one of only three dining rooms on the ship without leaving 800 or so people with no place to go for dinner (other than the Deck 9 options, which would be overwhelmed).

Yeah...I know it's not the same at all....that's why I said "kinda like"....perhaps a poor simile but not the key part of my post/query.
I get it. People need to eat BUT there were a spate of complaints which indicated (to me) a recurring problem. I thought I might inquire as to the status of the problems but didn't know I'd be criticized.......

Criticized? You asked a question and I answered.

Since you have 661 days until your cruise, I am hoping that if there is a problem, they could have it fixed in that time.:lmao:

Actually I'm not going to do the math on that one (lazy, sry!) but that is roughly two years away. Both the Magic (returning from dry dock 10/16/10, I know I am on the first cruise after it)and the Wonder will be going into dry dock before you sail so there is a very good chance AP could recieve an "upgrade" of sorts before you cruise.

Now I was also on the first cruise after the Magic returned from dry dock last September. They were supposedly making a lot of upgrades and refurbs to AP prior to our sailing. It was well publicized on here what was and wasn't done on that dry dock (Uh...a lot, and a lot!:lmao:) but I can tell you anything done to AP were not visible changes to the customer. New LCD, screens, etc. It looked like the same show to me.

I believe they were just attempting to say it would be a disappointment to some when certain highlights to the cruise (or Disney attraction) don't work properly, because for many...this could be the only time they ever have the opportunity to experience it. (perhaps you'd have been happier with it being compared to something like Rainforest Cafe's animatronics not working properly...they would continue serving meals, but it would be a disappointment for those that chose to go for the show and may never have another opportunity to visit there) Either way, your reply did come across as a bit condescending, even if that's not how it was intended originally.

Thanks.

Also, the problems were in AP on the Wonder, not on the Magic.

Is it just me or is 661 days from now Saturday, Feb 19th, 2011... about 2.5 months after the last cruise that is currently scheduled? :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Why are your little icons laughing? Can't I plan ahead for a winter break cruise for 2011

should I have cleared it with you first?

whats with the snide attitude?

I started this thread with a simple question about whether the restaurant had been repaired.

there MUST be some reason you would want to laugh at my choice of dates for a cruise or, perhaps, you are just into mocking me.

Do I even know you?

Either way, with these few exceptions, the people on these boards have been very helpful to me and generous with their time......

The reason most people have laughing icons is not to laugh at you, it is to show that this is a light hearted comment NOT to be taken as a slam or as a personal attack. As was said in other posts, there is no way to show any kind of emotion in writing on these boards other than with the icons. I don't take what anyone (including myself) has posted with a laughing icon as some kind of snide remark or making fun of you. It is just a comment.

Yes. I use emoticons all the time...however, combine the phraseology with the laughter and you get: snide.

try reading it out loud if you want to hear what was typed. I am not thin skinned (believe me) but I just don't get it.....

anyhow, not really worth a lot of time but I'll be darned if I'd let it pass without comment.

anyhow, enuff is enuff with this thread as far as I'm concerned

Ummm, jeez, a little sensitive, are we? You have scheduled a cruise that does not exist. I'm sorry if I find that funny. It is funny. I find it funny because you are obviously as big an overplanner as everyone else on here. You are definitely in the right place as pretty much everyone here is the same in that respect. :disrocks: You might also note that I gave a BIG thumbs up :thumbsup2 , which would generally imply approval...

If you had taken the time to even glance at my signature you might have seen that I started a cruise meets thread for an itinerary that has not even been announced yet... Okay, I started it in 2006 and it STILL hasn't been announced yet. So, you are in good company ;)

When we were on the wonder in Dec it was not as I remebered it-the colors did not add slowly-almost like no show at all, but I figured maybe i was remebering better or more dramatic than it was. Hope to enjoy the show again on the Magic in June.

Thanks for the post. My family and I are cruising on the Wonder in June and was kind of wondering the same thing. Some friends of ours did a cruise a few years ago and, for them, the AP show was a highlight. I was looking forward to this too but have been reading some things on here lately that the "show" my not be working properly.

While I'm sure we will have a great time regardless, it is something we are looking forward to seeing. So, has anybody been lately to confirm yea or nea on the "show"?
